This is true, but I find this visual representation quite poor. It looks like a large fish hook and looks nearly unusable as a weapon. It also doesn't look 'elvish'.

If it can help, 3.5 elf specific rulebook (races of wild) had all 3 different kind of elven blade (light, one handed and 2 handed). They where called elven shortblade, elven thinblade, and elven courtblade.
