The pain is thankfully temporary, if recurring and occasionally crippling...but you get used to it.

On the one hand, I agree with that sentiment, but on the other hand, removing the least voted means everyone will get a chance to see and vote on the more popular items.

It also gives SKR a little while to check that nothing got culled that he left in for us to enjoy :P

I really want to vote for this item -- I'm a sucker for its kind of flavor. However, I just have to concede it's inferior to its competition. The formatting left requirements out and the author doesn't understand the difference between spell completion items and spell trigger items.

I believe you, I suspect that there aren't that many torcs in the mix at all. Just like last year's "filigree", I think those of us on the forums have simply seen and remembered them more clearly than the other types of items we have seen even more of.
