Can be part of a set of armor, but there are several Helm-based Wondrous items already published. The Helm of Brilliance springs to mind first and foremost.

Not as far as magic item types go, no. See: helm of brilliance.

It's a wondrous item, and not DQ-able based on that, if that's what you're asking.

EDIT: Curse you, Amy, and your ninja-like ways!

Yeah, mine is the 12th. Hitting the grand old age of 40. And yours is the 14th! Here's hoping, if you entered, you make Top 32! Good birthday present!

To bad the top 32 wont be revealed till the 21st.

This is the 2nd year that something is closing on my birthday.
Last year it was the pathfinder Online Kick starter.

Helms like helm of fearsome mien and helm of underwater action are normally wondrous.

Not only do I not know how I'm voting on this, I don't know who would win.

I saw both of those items, was wondering if they would appear together.

As for who would win in the race I think it would be the chased as it gives more movement.

Same, though sometimes it is just formating that makes the difference.

Free with the purchase of any short (or longer) bow! Limited time offer, while quantities last.

Jumbo-size your arrows for only 50cp! May affect aim. Side-effects may include wrist pain, headaches, nausea, and dry eyes. Do not use jumbo-sized arrows while riding or flying. Jumbo-sized arrows are not made of recyclable materials. Do not microwave or use as an arcane focus.

An arrow that is able to communicate with the dearly departed, and sometimes have prescient abilities.

I don't know why, but since it can't argue back.

Star Voter Season 6, Star Voter Season 7

The author must have meant arrows sized for medium sized bows. I guess arrows for small sized bows would be small and arrows for large sized bows would be large.

I would love to see a colossal arrow. Having a creature fire that thing would probably be like launching a full sized oak tree.

A lot of these items are growing on me. I didn't like them at first but reading them multiple times makes me like them more.

Technically, no, because a helm by itself doesn't provide an armor bonus. Likewise gauntlets. They're meant to be worn with armor, but are not considered armor by the terms of the Pathfinder game. Look at the wondrous item list: helm of brilliance, helm of comprehending languages, helm of telepathy, et al.

Edit: I don't care if I was ninja'd or not. I am a unique and beautiful snowflake and my answer is just as valuable as anyone else's.

True, but this won't change an alias into a main account name, or vice versa.

I asked about changing mine in the Website Feedback thread (my original main account named was Perish Song), and someone stealthily changed my main account when I was looking the other way. I'm not sure who specifically you are supposed to ask, but it would seem it can be done.

I would think that finding mentions of your item on this thread could generally be seen in a negative light (although just because somebody says "oh no another Torc!" is not that bad if you entered a torc, I seriously doubt anybody is voting against torcs on general principle) while if you find something that could be your item mentioned on the "Incessant Praise" thread, you should feel good about it.

I've mentioned many items over the past few days in this thread that I have voted for, even if I was nitpicking/being snarky about them.

Even some of the items/authors I don't think are ready for the next phase of the competitionI have voted for because it's clear that they made more of an effort than the item they were paired against.

I suspect that's pretty much the same for a majority of the posters in this thread. (I hope!)

While I like my item, and it is certainly better than last year's entry, I do see now that it falls below superstar quality. If I make it even CLOSE to the top 32 I shall be pleasantly surprised.

I feel the same way.

This item is new to me. It is both terrible and wonderful at once. I do believe I'll vote it up. It's a spell-in-a-can, but with significant changes. The implications of its power are...intriguing to the trickster in me.

A new item cropped up, which is getting to be quite rare for me, and it happened to appear next to my own.

I really like the new one, with a caveat—a particular measure of its power was off by a factor of 2 or 4 in my opinion. So, I chose my item, but think the other one is likely to be an upvote should it appear again.

Have you seen any items that are great, but where you'd like to take a particular bonus, duration or other quantity and divide or multiply it by a small integer?

Just saw my item for the first time too. Sadly, I also see that it could have been worded much better. Next year, I'll be sure to write it up more than four hours in advance.

I can proudly say the in the last 1200 approx votes, I have always chosen one item over the other, not once choosing the both button - which was really hard sometimes, so well done to all in making this first pre cull vote so enjoyable.

May the culling scythe of doom fall below your items!

Would I be heretic if I said I feel like this year we don't need a cull? I haven't seen the atrociously bad in a few days already...I wonder if they made a more adaptive system.

Of all the items that make, summon, or turn a character into, a skeleton, I can say that you are the best I've seen yet (even if I think you're a bit too inexpensive).
