resummoning an eidolon

Rules Questions

as i understand it, if a summoner's eidolon dies he can't resummon it until the next day.....but if he dismisses it because of something like a city not wanting a monster inside....can he resummon and dismiss as many times as he pleases?

and while we are here, i was told an eidolon is dismissed if the summoner goes unconcious or goes to sleep.....is this true?

Liberty's Edge

1) If you dismiss your eidolon, you may get it back at anytime assuming you do the full ritual. The limitation only exists if the eidolon "dies".

2) The eidolon returns to its home if the summoner were to fall asleep or be unconscious for any other reason (negative hp, sleep spell, etc).

You can summon and dismiss your eidolon as much as you want, though the general ritual takes a decent chunk of time, and assuming you don't want to burn the summon eidolon spell unless it was REALLY needed.

So yeah, it becomes a choice, do you want to have 'less hassle' but more potential risk, by dismissing your eidolon while you walk around the city, or have it ready/next to you, but also making your travel very fricking obvious? :)

thanks
