Video Games for Pathfinder

I hope this is the correct place to post this, if not I do apologize.

I know that paizo has an upcoming MMO, but what I was thinking is I wish they could put together other video games in the likes of Baldurs gate, icewind dale etc etc, using the already created adventure paths.

For example, using the baldurs gate style gameplay but using the story of say....kingmaker. Where you actually get to play out the adventure path in a video game. What do you all think?

OGL is pretty much unusable in video games, so that kind of pretty much requires you to rebuild the crunch from grounds up.

And in any case, that's a job for a licensee, not something Paizo could possibly knock together in spare time.

This has been brought up a lot, and is something most everybody has agreed would be pretty cool if it happened.

Unfortunately, as the bag said, they wouldn't really be able to use any of the rule set, and that's something for a game developer to come to Paizo about doing, not really something Paizo's gonna knock out on their own. :/

FYI, game mechanics are not copyrightable; the expression of those mechanics is. With care, one could find original ways to express a lot of the existing mechanics.
