This is just venting. I don't mean to insult anyone.

  • People who don't bring their own dice to the game
  • People who think loudly commenting attractive women on the bus stop is witty and hilarious, even though the girl looks like she is about to cry
  • Obese people who squeeze past you on the bus and then start screaming at you because you're "pushing them". I'm not pushing you darling, your belly is.
  • People who accost you at the street with some sort of charity, trying to swindle money out of you, and get huffy and insulting when you tell you're not interested
  • Children playing with a toy that makes a very loud, unpleasant noise. On and on and on and on and on and on...
  • People listening to music on their cellphones without earphones

Care to add?

well, now that I have a reason to post...

Left turn morons in the far right lane of a two-lane roundabout.

Roadraging prigs driving 110 on the highway up your ass, practically begging you and the two other cars you're next to block up the lanes and roll at exactly 65 for the next twenty miles.

the insurance company rep who lies through their teeth and tells you it's a billing mistake who then transfers you to billing for them to tell you it's a mistake from your representative, and would you like them to transfer you back to the first person.

White people dressing up like they're gangster. See Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus for examples.

Any racial 'minority' (and I personally consider white people to be the real minority) that pulls the race card in the first five minutes of trying to tell them you don't want to give them change for booze.

Neo-nazi's, KKK and any other supremacist that still clings to obvious wrong and ridiculous outdated concepts trying to justify their lifestyle....in any context. It's not the black guy holding you down, it's the fact that you cover yourself in offensive tattoos, offer violence for every verbal interaction anyone has with you, and guzzle beer in front of your trailer home sneering at everyone passing you by.

I've recently embraced hatred for trolls in internet forums too. Really, in an age where your ability to let people know who you are, what's really on your mind, and really communicate, you choose to say something offensive just to get a rise? Failing all social conventions, you have to make an ass of yourself just because you can remain anonymous and suffer no consequences?

Such a cheerful thread....

Joss is doing a tv series about Cosplayers. It's supposed to have really well written female characters in it, because he understands how to write female characters so well.

I hate leprechauns. They took midgets and red heads and made something more evil.

Every freckle is a soul that tried to take his pot o' gold ;)

Seriously though, I hate people that don't use turn signals. It is the epitome of laziness and I always hope they get hit and killed in a car accident.

Oh, and I hate people that take babies to movie theaters, and then get defensive when people get mad.

Well I don't live in your cul de sac (not that I know where you live, I just don't live in a cul de sac) but I park on the street because our driveway only has room for one car so I let my wife park there.

It helps to vent on occasion.

Man, don't even get me started. Baby friendly projections exist for a reason.

Money-starved teenagers also exist to fill this niche. :D

Although admittedly, I don't think I'd trust any old teen with my child.

All the m#~&*&!**#+~s in my neighborhood that park up the roads so there's room for one car to go through like the f@*$ing death star trench for about 200 feet. And there's always one of them, getting out of their car door into the street and jerking off about it, then they see you and scrunch up next to their car so you can get by and maybe not kill their dumb ass.

Oh, man, I feel you. In my little "road" for no other purpose than to allow for legal addressing, we all get two spaces. Here's the kicker: one marked, one un-marked.

So, we bought the house when everybody respected the "rules:" (1) If you have a designated parking spot, you park there, and (2) If you have a second vehicle, you have IN ORDER FROM THE MAILBOX CURB, a second, unofficial spot. Sacred. Sacrosanct. Mustn't be tampered with...

The folks who move in across the court continue to look for their "second, unofficial" spot, only to foil my wife's attempts to park after taking the son out to swim. They, day after day, park in MY spot if I don't get home in time....

My HOA will not do what...BATMAN! might do...

Also, they could park the car with teh side of the vehicle on the edge of the circle, instead of the body of their car aligned radially into the cul de sac like a giant bicycle wheel spoke, thus minimizing my turn radius from backing our from......my driveway.....

People --- almost always family members of course --- who forward you every idiotic, blatantly false chain e-mail as gospel truth.

I am preparing for the onslaught after Halloween passes and we liberals begin our fictional War on Christmas, but just the reminder that I'm related to people who believe this stuff is depressing. Why can't they keep their insanity to themselves?

I'm convinced that any parent that takes a baby to toddler to disneyland is at the top of the dick move list. seriously? you're going to sit down with your kid ten years from now as explain how much fun they had in the stroller for 6 days?

Silver Crusade

You could probably do a thread on babies alone. I hate parents who bring baby on my plane.

I had the idea that if I ran a restaurant there would be a list of "De Rulez" that everyone could see upon entering.

1. Caveat emptor. If we make the food to spec. and if you don't like that's you're fault.

2. If you're child starts screaming or throwing tantrum take them to the restroom or outside.

3. Open seats and server capacity are separate issues.
- Corollary: We are not a seat yourself establishment, we never have been, please wait.

4. Minimum wag does not mean indentured worker.

Meh, you Prime Material scum complain about the littlest things. You should really go outside and play in the Outer Planes if you want something to complain about.

{honks horn} Hey, you Azmodean-damned modrons; it's called a Great March, not a Great Slower-than-a-Fiendish-Flailsnail Shuffle! I still gotta' LLV full of larva and soulgems to deliver, and I've got a "randomly-reappearing" minor artifact that has to be delivered at its new destination before the hour!

People who get annoyed at foreigners for not speaking the local language at all times. And then proceed to yell at them. Man those i would beat up with an aluminium baseball bat.

Older women who have the gall to criticize young mothers on the name their chose for their children because its not a properly "Serbian" name.

Orthodox christians who get offended when you tell them that you're an atheist and thus will not cross myself when entering a church. To set up feaking Wi-fi.

Chukle.. I've been on the other end of this. Talking louder and slower isn't just a western thing.

People who judge people without knowing them.

And yes I do realize that there is irony in this.

I'm Christian myself and I don't do this. I presume it's a Catholic thing?

It might be wrong, but when I am in an area that caters to foreign tourists I expect that I should be able to find people who speak whatever language it is that most of the tourists speak (it's good business sense). Once you leave those areas, all bets are off.

In the small amount of foreign travel I have done, that has luckily been the case. Show some respect for the local culture and language and things should be good.

A friend of mine who has traveled from the U.S. to Europe (I've only been to Canada and Central America myself) claims that as long as he made an honest attempt to speak the local language things were normally fine. The funny thing he tells is the Frenchmen switching to English out of annoyance.....that his practice with the language came from proximity to Quebec.

Let me explain. Belgrade has a large Chinese population. We've gotten used to them. So it is not uncommon to see Chinese people in some parts of the public transportation quite often. And they talk to one another in Chinese. Because they are from China and that is the language they know best.

And then some moron gets to accost them because he doesn't like that they talk in our "good, christian language"? yeah, no.

Orthos wrote:

Not many Catholics in Belgrade. I think that there is a single Catholic church for the entire city (i might be wrong). The prevalent religion in Serbia is Orthodox Christianity (kinda like Russian Christianity only a mite different, as every Orthodox country has it's own religious leader, and none of them answer to the Pope.

But trust me, these guys are horrible, trying to meddle into politics (in a secular republic no less), judging everything and everybody and always being vocally outspoken about everything, to the point that people with minds are getting pretty fed up with it.

On the plus side, we have the largest Orthodox temple in the world...

Just a point Archbishop Stanislav Hočevar is over the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Belgrade. While in America an Archdiocese is typically based on size, those in Europe tend to be size and/or historical significance. A quick look only showed 10 RC Churches in the city it showed around 10 convents. In contrast we have around the same number of RC Churches here but one convent, for roughly the same area.

As an aside I gave up counting the number of SO Churches as well as synagogues listed.

Also in contrast we have but a Single Orthodox church, big beautiful building that it is, well I say big but to that picture Hama shared it is but an corner of the building. hey what can I say, we only have a single small "skyscraper" here. Only a handful of synagogues too.

While yes, it is customary, no Catholic that I am aware of will judge you for not doing so. But its a wide world and a lot of us out there I am sure you could find a few, or just find a member of the Society of St Pius X.
