Guidance Spell: Can I play it to help a character at ANOTHER location?

We're playing a 5-handed game right now. One of the players at a different location is about to make a check.

Can I play my Guidance Spell to give him a +1 to his check even though I'm NOT at the same location?

Yes, as long as it doesn't say 'your check'. Guidance doesn't.
