"So, is there anything special we'll need to deal with the folks in Ravenia?"
Hey, RC, are you guys getting the red flag warnings down in Martinez, too?
He thinks. "A wooden stake for each of you, a bludgeoning weapon, a dagger, antiplague, a strong stomach, and a diplomatic willingness to look the other way."
"Can we pick up that stuff around here"
SJ only in the oakland hills and mt.diablo, but i'll take 74 degrees anytime
"I have fire and a hooked hammer. That should cover the first few. I can probably brew the antiplague. The last couple are no problem.
Good to have somebody in the group I can see eye-to-eye with, if just literally."
"Whatever you say, sirs."
"Is there somewhere I can procure some wooden stakes and weapons"
*I will head over to the armory*
At the armory is a burly man with a black maelstrom of a beard, grumbling about kids these days. He turns to see you when you open the door. "Gah! What happened to ye?"
"it was those evil cultists that did this to me"
"oh. Aye. They took off me leg. Used to be the greatest Paladin here, now I'm stuck making weapons for those idiots. Me boyo was too young, I couldn't train him. Now he's stuck as their caddy."
"Oh is that your boy over there" *points towards guide*
"Yeah. Lester. Good kid, bit weak, but he uses his BRAINS. Nowadays, all the Paladins are dumping INT, but that kid is what's going to really make us stronger. Where are you all headed?"
"It looks like we're going to Ravenia."
Well good sir we are heading to ravenia to hopefully end this cultist threat once and for all. Do you know anything about ravenia?
He looks at you shocked. "That's suicide! I tried to fight there once, and I found a map of the sewers." He hands it to you. "But keep me boy safe. And give him this." He hands you a sword. "Not magical, but he really seemed to like it."
"Thank you sir, I will what little I can do what I can to protect lester"
"Now If I could procure some wooden stakes, A bludgeoning weapon and would you have a couple of magical daggers, it appears that my ears have become prehensile and I find it satisfactory to kill cultists with the very thing they mutilated on me"
"I can loan you the daggers, and give you everything else."
"Thank You, You say you have been there, what can we be expected to see besides cultists? And have you ever heard of Krator?
"Ravenia's main population is undead-all types. Goblins are used as slaves, as are people captured from their raids." When you say Krator, he shivers. "I haven't heard that name in...a long time. Rest assured, he is dead."
lucky7 wrote: When you say Krator, he shivers. "I haven't heard that name in...a long time. Rest assured, he is dead." " I don't know, we just interrogated some cultist and he mentioned the name Krator"
His face falls. "No...that's impossible. He has to be dead, but I'll tell you this right now: if he isn't, and you see him (You'll recognize him), get my boy out of there. And run."
Does he look like..(I will describe the illusion we saw at the fort)?
"Might be. It's been years, and I doubt anyone'd recognize him."
You said he was dead or should be. Is there a story on how he was defeated?
"We were assaulting his fort, fifty years ago. He and his generals had burned multiple nations to the ground and were going to release the Devourer. My comrades were killed fighting his general, but I burned him to death on his sacrificial pyre, though not before he hit my leg with a poison dagger. They had to cut it off. From there, the survivors had to find replacements, and that's where the new recruits come in. Bastard took Lester's mother away from him. Glad he's dead."
"So he can be burned, good to know"
* I will relay this info to the party and see if Lob can make a bunch of alchemist fire, if not I'm gonna need some*
"We ran into an illusion of him, he seemed quite invincible. why not even the beer I poured on him did not affect him."
"But the dirt made him disappear. That was weird."
"He always did like keeping his armor shiny."
Ok so alchemists fire and dirt, that sounds like a metal band
Ok then I guess I will rest until the rest of the party is raedy to go
Why am I not surprised? Also, we're getting wind again, and the modem is weirding out on us.
I'm ready to go when everyone else is.
"Well then Lester, Lead the way!"
Lester looks at you all "Ready? Let's go!" It's a three day trip to Ravenia, which seems to be under a perpetual storm, enslaved Will O Wisps being trapped in lanterns to light up the city's structures, which seem to absorb the light. Statues dot the streets, of demons which hate you for EXISTING. Goblins toil working in the sewers, and as chimney sweeps, and you see a group of Mohrgs readying for a raid.
*As we travel, I will tell lester that I spoke with his father and relay to him everything we spoke about*
"Oh...Dad never really talked about mom much. Before my time, I guess."
Yes. You are there. See the post I favorited.
Ah I see, no senseless violence on the way. What are mohrgs?
Seriously, I am blissfully unaware of the bestiaries
Lester thinks for a moment, then says "What happens when mass murderers and serial killers turn undead."
"It's surprisingly common in this part of the world."
*Well this is certainly a pickle we are in*
*Head over to a goblin streetworker ask if he knows of the local locksmith guild*
He points "Over there past Clavering Boulevard. Right past Von Derrikan's victims."
* unless there are pressing issues(besides the army of undead getting ready to attack). i will attempt to locate the thieves guild*

Ah, those were the halcyon days.
If you try swiping something without permission, they'll probably find you.
How are you guys finding the Guild, then?
* Head over to clavering blvd. past von derrikan's victims*
