ok time to get back on the shunning...let me say I loved FF7 ok it was awesome played the hell out of it as a when it came out loved it still do...now that the remake is public...I hope its not just FF7 just a HD skin, gaming have gone passed the turn based combat that was the limitation of RPG's back in the day. I hope that the game is made with more of a combat feel for the newest real action combat that is used in FF15...we are well passed the point of needing to use turn based combat in games and I wish to see the FF7 remake to have that...and now I have been shunned by all the purest of the turn based combat game...

These are ones I do believe
I think fighters rock
I think game balance lies in the hands of the DM
I think optimizing is another word for cheesy
I believe heavily dumped stats are a weakness and should be shown as such occasionally in game
I believe that DM's and their NPC's and critters have powers available to them that players don't. It's called ancient tech, or otherworldly power or other such stuff.
I believe in allowing players to respect gear to wealth by level every once in a while. (Saves me tons of work as DM and lets us all focus on the plot more in m group).
Wow, feels so good to get all that off my chest. It was like a burden, hiding that from everyone.
I despise the use of classes and alignment.
I despise the current magic system. I prefer a system that is recreated from the ground up that takes the player's health, state of mind, and/or soul into the cost of the spell.
I would like to see ritual magic as a skill anyone can use as long as they have a source and can survive the casting.
I don't like seeing deities playing active roles in the prime material world but are enigmas that people want to believe exist.

There's nothing wrong with your opinion, but if you despise classes, alignment, and the magic system, why are you playing Pathfinder at all? Classes and the magic system are integral to the entire system! You know other RPGs exist, right?

When people say "OMG have you heard/seen (whatever the "thing" of the day is) yet?!?!" I am much, much less inclined to go check it out.

That would be funny if it weren't so true. I blame the internet; it gives people a wider audience to air their disappointment/grievances/or just get heard so they don't feel so alone.
I get it, but I don't understand it. I don't like certain things, but I would never dream of expending the energy to go to their forums, facebook, twitter or whatever to tell them that. "Hi! I'll never buy your product or service but I HATE you and you are doing it wrong!"

Just noting the hypocrisy of the "joke".
New confession! I feel players are far too entitled, and have little to no respect for the GM mandate. The game is for everyone, yes, but the GM does significantly more work than a player, so I think the right to make and arbitrate the rules is a fair trade off. If you want to play in an Eastern setting when the GM has decided it will be a world based on Mesopotamia, either shut up or start writing your own game, but in either case stop b****ing.
I also do not think character concept is of paramount importance, because there's billions possible, and if the GM shuts yours down or GOD FORBID the rules don't make it exactly as viable as you'd like, you can think of another.
There. Are. Billions. Of. Possibilities. Your snowflake doesn't mean the difference between enjoyment and disappointment unless you let it.

My stances on Firefly and Adventure Time seemed to be pretty unpopular.
I also have opinions I never really discuss online here that I've seen entire threads locked for even being mentioned by other people. Seriously, I risk shunning by even hinting at these opinions, and I dare not extrapolate upon them.

I would rather eat at a diner that has horrible food than diner with ok food. That way I will know to never comeback ^_^

that's it ill say I don't like feat tax when its about {grapple, trip, sunder....} I would rather give my players more feats so they cane do more than hack hack hack in combat...

Nope. For pretty much the same reason.
Hmmm, well the only thing I can think of off the top of my head that might get me shunned is that while I like pathfinder it is far from my favorite system. I tend to prefer quick moving and narrative focused games and the sheer amount of rules complexity in the system slows me down when running a game more than I'd like.

I do this to, it began so I could watch tv as I played then it was so I was not hogging all sound and could still talk to my wife that way we could watch tv together as I continued to play ^_^

I'm the opposite -- I always have the music playing for video games, and I tend to buy the soundtracks. I've found that video game soundtracks make *excellent* writing music.
I also have to admit that after playing Hatsune Miku Project Diva F I binged on vocaloid music. I now have very strong opinions on which vocaloids are the most awesome (the Kagamines, esp Rin), and vocaloid music is now my goto music at work.
And my children mock me mercilessly for it.

Seems awfully silly to deprive yourself of a good experience just because someone can confirm that it is, in fact, a good experience.
My brother used to be the same way. I'd say "This is good" (or someone else would) he'd say "I'm not interested". Or give it a token "try".
"I read the first page and I didn't like it. Meh."
Thankfully, he grew out of that around the time he turned 15.
Really all you're doing is hurting yourself, in a sense, so it's really not something to be proud of.

I think some of it depends on where you get your recommendations from. There are people that suggest movies to me that I am sure do not know anything about me despite having met me and talked to me for years.
Sometimes you find a happy gem in the suggestions, but often I find myself very displeased with their recommendations.
