Guidance and casting a combat spell

Liberty's Edge

If I'm using a combat like Acid Arrow that lets me use my Arcane roll for the combat, can I then use Guidance on that roll? Or does the Acid Arrow spell already counts as having played a spell on that roll?

Acid Arrow counts as a spell, so no, the same character could not also use Guidance on the check (although a different character could.)

I think you'd have cast Acid Arrow first, and you couldn't case Guidance after that, due to it being another spell. You could use a blessing to give yourself more dice, or an item to somehow enhance your roll, but not another spell. I'm 90% sure it would be pointless to use Acid Arrow and then a weapon, because they both call for their own combat checks.

It's not a different check. You've basically replaced the normal dice in a combat check [STR, Melee, DEX, & Ranged] for an Arcane die. Therefore you have already cast your one spell for that check, the Acid Arrow.
