Nasty: That was close!, you make it to the waters edge, You can see that there is a passage that heads to your right down about 15' below the water, The goldfish seem to come from this passage. Across the lake is a passage that heads into the darkness. Below you maybe 30-40' The lake narrows to about 50' wide. Long fronds of green seaweed float lazily in this area.
The smell of seawater and alcohol is very strong down here.
Well, it's a Dwarf mine, I guess.
Alissa's Dad wrote: AM HEALER wrote: I TURN THE LICH! Help Me My Daughter Daddy? What is wrong? Daddy?????
Something tells me I need to go home.
Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Alissa: All is well, just too much exposure to alcohol fumes
Okay... I am holding on to the 300' rope, which is tied around the bridge. So, can I just slide down to the water?
Can I feather fall to the bottom?
Nasty shots out his prehensile tongue to grab goldfish while still having Nesod on his back he makes his way towards the darkness. He is still holding Nesod and not letting him down much like a parent would keep a child safe.
Tongue: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 311d4 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Jenny: Yes you can rappel down to the water and suffer no rope burn due to gelatinious substance on your hands I pity whoever follows you
AMS: Of course you can
Nasty: You manage to snag a couple of goldfish, you notice that these goldfish have teeth similiar to piranhas.
"Yummy fishy taste good."
How many fish are there?
Okay, I going to cast dancing lights and send them down first. I I then descend using feather fall. Im landcon a smooth surface.
Nasty: There are thousands!, you will notice that when your tongue tastes the water it has no taste, it has no substance almost like it is air.
AMS: You're dancing lights illuminate a suitable area for you to land on.
I'm glad I'm all charisma, because my memory sucks. Didnt knw why I thought of this before...
I'm going to need a long length of wood that I can use as a wizard's staff.
Let me know if I come across one in the future.
You better not be drinking again Nesod. You know what alcohol does to you.
*Pulls out gloves of gripping and climbs down rope.
He puts his hand into the water ti see what is going on.
AMS: Why don't we say you purchased one in Liverton, and your memory is worse than originally thought.
Alissa: You rappel/slide down with ease
Nasty: The water seems fine until you pull your hand out and realize it is instantly dry.
Okay, I climb carefully down rather than just slide.
Climb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
He tries to drink the water.
Jenny: Sorry I worded that poorly, You already made it down.
Nasty:[hint] You attempt to gulp down the water but alas it is like taking deep breaths of air[/hint]
Hmmm... wicked goldfish.
*thinks*
Well, few things can eat a cube.
"BLORP! BLURGLE!"
I try to make my way down into the water, seeing if I can get a sense of what's beneath the floating bones everywhere.
"This not real water." he frowns "This is air."
He looks at Jenny "Fishy have teeth too ... sharpy teeth. But they are tasty. You should try some."
"It's an illusion. Like the haggis. And Lissa, alcohol has no effect on me. It never has. Sadly."
Jenny As you sink below the waters surface you realize that it is breathable by both water and air breathers. It is quite buoyant- in fact you figure even a fully armored PC could float in it.
The fish scatter at your approach into the passageway to your right about 15' down from the surface.
Detect Magic, I will concentrate on the waters for a full two rounds.
AMS: The entire surface of the lake radiates an aura of transmutation
Nesod: Just so we are clear, You swim down 15' and look inside the passageway to the right?
There is an area in the middle of the lake where it narrows to a diameter of 50' and looks to continue on to much greater depths. This is where the long fronds of green seaweed are floating lazily in the mild current. And a passageway across the lake.
The passageway isn't going to fit me... unless I turn into a gelatinous cylinder!
Trying REALLY hard to think cylindric thoughts: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Jenny: You manage to finagle your way down the passageway, which goes for about 20' and opens up into a roughly 45' wide x 45' deep cavern filled with countless thousands of the carnivorous goldfish. At the bottom of this alcove, millions of tiny black goldfish eggs line the bottom.
You are currently at the entrance and notice the fish are not scattering away like before.
I proceed after Nesod, but cautiously.
Ok then we'll say Jenny is in the front followed by Nesod and AMS.By the way not only can you breathe the water, but you can communicate normally.
"BrrrrrLRRRRP!"
I float into the new chamber.
Jenny: As you begin to move in the fish attack doing 6pts I looked up ooze traits and didn't see any immunities to biting
I have a bad feeling about this.
Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25 on the goldfish. Do I recognize them?
"BLUUUURP!"
I float back into the tunnel. Hopefully I miss the others. If not, I try to take human shape so I can swim faster.
"Fish are attacking!"
FIREBALL!!!
No wait. I don't have that spell.
ALCHEMIST'S FIRE!!!
Alissa: The goldfish are a strange mutation of a goldfish and piranha
Jenny: As you back up the fish stop attacking.
Nesod: Do you still wish to attack the goldfish?
Jenny, did you see what the were guarding?
JRR: Teeth do piercing damage.
"Eggs. Probably goldfish eggs."
I go back outside into the big pool.
Bloodlust or normal lust? Hmmm....
Alissa: The bottom of the alcove is covered in millions of tiny black goldfish eggs.
Jenny: Outside the lake narrows to a 50' wide passage in the center that heads to deeper water. Floating lazily in the entrance are long fronds of green seaweed.
On the far side of the lake is another narrow passageway.
It looks like you did not take 6 pts of damage, My Bad
AMS: Sorry, people keep interrupting me. See Jenny's response
Swim over to the other exit. What do I see?
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
Nasty follows his leader Alissa and keeps her safe. Tramping or swimming along as he goes.
Alissa/Nasty: This passageway is 4' in diameter and lined with jagged rocks. It goes in about 10' then turns down.
What is the seaweed? Does it move? Does it try to eat me?
