I personally feel that 3.5 is a better balanced and interesting game, so if I had the option, I would go with that and use a few PF changes. Some of which I had already used before hand. Minus Fly and a few other skills put together (or more specifically being combined and then not applying correctly to a class anymore), the PF skill system is overall better. But I loved having the 3.5 options. I love that 3.5 had a "yes and here are a bunch of ways to do it, pick the one that best fits" while PF tends to be "no, but there this other single thing instead". PF does tend to have a better customer service, but one thing that they severely lack in is the combo of very needed errata and explanation for how things where intended to work. Im pretty much restricted to PFS now, which isn't bad, but it does not allow any 3.5 as a rule.

Seems like most people allow 3.5 at least conditionally. Few people allow all 3.5 outright, slightly more ban 3.5 outright, except for maybe A book.
I personally would allow 3.5 material on a case by case basis, world and combat rules are always pathfinder.
As someone said earlier many people use 3.5 rules instead of pf rules, I am constantly reminding them the revised rules both for good or bad.
There are some 3.5 stuff I ban outright, and there are some PF stuff I also ban. No Blankets Found Here.

Not only do I / would I allow 3.5, it is my edition of preference.
Unfortunately, most PF DMs I find do not allow 3E at all, so I'm stuck to playing casters or boring damage-dealer based martial builds who never dare to tumble or skirmish. I actually spend considerable effort turning 6-level caster classes into poor man's substitutes for the 3E martial types I used to play and enjoy, using spells/combos like Magus's bladed dash spell combat to get what I want.
EDIT: I don't allow everything from 3E, and I have never met a single DM who has, either. The base rules are better and there are more interesting options to be had, but 3E also has quite a bit that is game-breakingly overpowered, like Divine Metamagic Persistent Spell combo w/ nightsticks, *any* infinite loop, wings of cover, abrupt jaunt, etc... Of course, PF is slowly catching up with things like Dazing Spell, and Paragon Surge "I know all the spells!" abuse.
