Events?

So this will be my first time attending PaizoCon and not sure on how it all works. Is there pre-reg for events prior to the Con, or is all of that handled there?

I ask only because I have not seen anything on it yet, or am I over looking it somewhere?

It is my first time to but from what I have gathered from spending way to much time on these boards is that there is a lottery system that they use once the events have been announced. You put in for what you are interested in and then they fill the events up.

Getting the events up and the lottery run is our next project now that the Kickstarter tool has been launched. We will send an email out to all ticket holders and do a blog post etc when we have things set up.

so for this "lottery" is there a way to ensure you are together with someone that you are going with. My wife will be very pissed at me otherwise lol.

Yes (in the past at least), you can "buddy-up" with another ticket holder. Whenever either of you get your lottery picks, it will assign you both to it.

Does "getting the events up" include the solicitation of non-PFS games? Or did that already happen? I'm planning on running two new scenarios again this year (I'm thinking Shadowrun and Star Wars this time), and would like to have them in the lottery.

If I missed it, oh, well, I'm sure there'll be people interested in open gaming hanging about :)

Are the events going to hopefully be posted before the GenCon registration opens? Would hate to register for a PFS event at GenCon if I can play it at PaizoCon instead :)

Events are estimated to be up, at the latest, by the end of May.
