Advanced Race Guide and a weird race

Homebrew and House Rules

I had an idea recently thanks to a couple sources of inspiration, and I was thinking about how I might be able to use it in a game a friend would be running soon. However, I'm not quite sure how to go about statting it up with the ARG.

The basic idea is a soldier that fell in battle, and has managed to make a pact to be returned to life to avenge himself and his comrades. I was thinking some sort of either soul bonded to a suit of armor might work, but I'm not quite sure how to go about statting that. What would be a good way to represent this using the ARG?

Scarab Sages

A construct?

Sounds like Spawn.

Anyway, you might consider going the "half-construct" route.

Alternatively, you could just play a synthesist summoner and negotiate away your spells and summon sla for something else with your GM.

Sovereign Court

It seems to potentially straddle the line between undead and construct. If it's more... corpsey, perhaps my own homebrew race could work. As for the bonding to armour, just off the top of my head, I'd consider making a variant on the blackblade magus archetype that focuses on a suit of armour instead of a sword.

On the other hand, if you have something more like Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist in mind, then half-construct is probably the way to go.
