How do you make an awesome fantasy artist book more awesome?
OOH! I know this one!
Lens Flares!
Now that Erik's here it sounds just like a normal work day! (Murmur of business call through closed door.)

Lens Flares! So Wayne Reynolds is working with J.J. Abrams now?
Upside of working on the weekend: it's a lot easier to use Lisa's couch. ;)

If I say it three times, maybe it will be done! Please? Maybe?
Are you sure that doesn't just summon Baba Yaga?
Go get'em, guys and gals!
F. Wesley Schneider wrote: Upside of working on the weekend: it's a lot easier to use Lisa's couch. ;) *snort* How many couches, exactly, do you need? :-P
Jason: I take it the Mythic Rules have been mostly finalized. I look forward to trying out the final version. Did the power curve turn out as expected?

So, how did genconcrunch make yoda8myhead's avatar all handsome?
Also, I feel your pain: coursework submission deadline is in one week, and I have over a hundred students. I have calculated a missing 16 hours of sleep since Monday.
The solution is constant low-level snacking that rotates from sweets (candy) to fruit to nuts to dried fruit to sweets in an endless loop.
Plus a loving partner who brings the best kind of coffee: unexpected coffee!
Man, it sounds like the BEST place to work EVAR!!
Best of luck to everyone! Hang in there, I know all too well what having too much work and not enough time is like!
Now back to work creating more awesome stuff!!! :)
IT'S OVER!... for now.
Again, HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to everyone who made it in today and to all the folks who stopped by to lend their support. We got a ton done, but there's still plenty left to do. But we're getting there.
For now though: not work!
Catch you all Monday!

Last I checked, the only thing to get someone through a weekend full of work is a handle of rum. Admittedly, the law is designed to be worked while drunk, while publishing doesn't do so well. You'll do fine, don't worry. Good luck all!

But Lisa, your couch doesn't come with all those painful "And how does that make you feel?" questions. Wes has suffered enough self-reflection, doncha think?

When we moved into the "new" offices I had naive hopes for my couch, mostly revolving around editing in comfort. Turns out, having one makes your office an impromptu meeting room and confessional. I have spent probably less than 10 hours on my own couch total--not counting that one night I got snowed in at the office--but it has been totally worth it.
Lisa's is just WAY nicer... and doesn't have my strict "No Jumping" and "No Ice Cream" restrictions. ;)

You all paint a very nice picture of a great place to work. Thanks for making me cry.
I've said this on the "Overheard at the Paizo Office" thread, but your office has at least 327% more Teh Awesome than mine does.
(And, honestly, my office is kinda awesome.)
Thanks for sharing!

** spoiler omitted ** Well, you could have my job where I work every weekend, as well as working six days a week unless I'm working seven.

Clearly, there needs to be more weekend refreshments!
Just saying. :)
Damn, you guys seem to have a lot more fun on the job than I had in recent history. All we did was occasionally make liquid nitrogen ice cream. Which is very yummy fwiw.
Of course my company relocated our lab a month ago, so I'm currently unemployed and getting very very bored.
What a great thread. Thanks for all the hard work!
