Craft Time Question

Everyone I'm looking for clarification the Craft Skill does not say how much time you need to spend each day crafting. Unless I just missed it.

The Magic item creation rules are clear 8 hours in "town", 4 on the road with less progress.

Can someone help clear this up I'm just looking for the rule "crafting takes __ hours a day". A source link or a book and page number would be nice.

Crafting:

PFSRD

To determine how much time and money it takes to make an item, follow these steps.

Find the item's price in silver pieces (1 gp = 10 sp).
Find the item's DC from Table: Craft Skills.
Pay 1/3 of the item's price for the raw material cost.
Make an appropriate Craft check representing one week's worth of work. If the check succeeds, multiply your check result by the DC. If the result × the DC equals the price of the item in sp, then you have completed the item. (If the result × the DC equals double or triple the price of the item in silver pieces, then you've completed the task in one-half or one-third of the time. Other multiples of the DC reduce the time in the same manner.) If the result × the DC doesn't equal the price, then it represents the progress you've made this week. Record the result and make a new Craft check for the next week. Each week, you make more progress until your total reaches the price of the item in silver pieces.
If you fail a check by 4 or less, you make no progress this week. If you fail by 5 or more, you ruin half the raw materials and have to pay half the original raw material cost again.

i think it probably has to mean 8 hours a day. I think it'd be reasonable to use the same "4 on the road to make 2 hours progress" rule if you wanted to, provided that the craft can be done on the road (e.g. you're probably not carrying a forge and anvil around with you, though, in D&D who knows maybe you have that in a portable hole or something.)

@Ieji That gives crafting time in weeks or bye the day. I'm trying to find out how much time in a day (one, two, eight hours) the crafts-person needs to spend crafting. I just can seem to find the answer.

@Jerrys I'm thinking something similar but, I really want to find the rule. My players just converted and we all need to learn the game right before we start fiddling.

Thankfully it hasn't come up yet but, I know it will and probably soon.

depends on the crafting, and if they have access to the required tools. somewhere (alt rules i think?) there was an alternate way to do by the day crafting. and i think 8/4 stays about the same.
