Working out a cavalier build

Advice

Hey everyone so I am currently building a character for The Legacy of Fire campaign and I was wondering if the community could look over my character. Firstly he is a Gnome who is a s+%~-talking, always ready for a fight, napoleon complex guy. We are starting level 2 because there are only two players(a elf wizard) and a GM. SOOO I was going Cavalier 1, Barbarian 1...now why this way well firstly he will be Order of Cockatrice and then he will take Rage Powers Totem of Spirit. And secondly the higher Cha will play off of each other. At 5 I plan on taking 1 level bard and at 6 going Battle Herald.

Here are his Stats
Str 14(+2)
Cha 14(+2)
Con 15(+2)
Int/Wis/Dex: 10
He has ranks in Handle Animal(6), Diplomacy(6), Intimidate(7), Perception(7)and Ride(5)

Also he is starting with the wolf mount.

I still need 1 feat which I have no clue what to take and 2 traits again drawing a blank. Any pointers would be very useful and I would be grateful. Thanks everyone!

How are you splitting up your first four levels then? Cav 2/Barb 2? Cav 3/Barb 1?

Cause taking one level of barbarian for one totem power that deals 1d4+cha damage and is only active when you are raging for 6 rounds a day? Probably not the best use of a level. I would either take all levels of cavalier or start in with bard before level 5.

As a small character planning on being on your mount most the time, I would take Mounted Combat ASAP.
