Pounce seems far too situational. If you have a clear path and if you're ok sacrificing AC. Getting even that first one can be challenging in a crowded battlefield.
Our eidolon is usually the first one in, so Pounce is pretty much always useful. With the Summoner sending him off with the Orcish Bloodline power Touch of Rage to do it, even better.
I've never known having an attack with reach could keep you from pouncing, though. Doesn't sound right to me.

Every eidolon ever published by Paizo that has that evolution applies it to ALL natural attacks of the same type. This is most readily apparent in Ultimate Magic's sample eidolons.
Aboleth
The eidolon looks like an aberrant aquatic creature such as an aboleth.
25 points: Base Form aquatic; Primary Evolutions reach (tentacles), tentacles (2); Secondary Evolutions basic magic (ghost sound), huge, large, major magic (minor image), minor magic (silent image), tentacles (2), ultimate magic (major image).
Note that this sample STRAIGHT FROM PAIZO has multiple tentacles as well as an evolution that reads "reach (tentacles)." Please note the plurality.
If it's good enough for Paizo, it's good enough for me.
