Hello all!
We judges are doing some final housekeeping but I think the sorting is all but finished. Just need one final sign off. Then the choices are off to the web guys to prepare the reveal tomorrow. (Good judges, like good freelancers, get their work done early and give the next person in the production chain plenty of time to get their job done).
I just wanted to take the time to congratulate everyone and wish everyone good luck!
I thought the submissions were very good this year (despite the rockiest start I can remember). And then the community involvement in voting was really amazing.
So if you submitted, congrats and good luck!
If you didn't submit but you voted, then thank you for your invaluable help!
If you didn't submit or vote but were part of the discussion, thank you!
If you did two or more of the above, then you have my profound thanks!
You know, this is exciting for us, too. We judge the items but they are anonymous. It is exciting for us to see who it is who made the cut. So we are waiting just like all of you.
Best of luck! This should be a really good contest this year.
Clark
Awesome. All I can say is I'm really excited - I have my archetype on standby for if I hit the Top 32. Even if I don't, it's been a fantastic run this year, and the community has been excellent.
Great job everyone, and best wishes going into the next round!

Agreed. Wishing everyone all the best - Template fu is hungry and ready to roll.
When Round One is done I hope we hear more about the "rocky" start. The most entertaining part of American Idol is the initial try out phase.

I can summarize for you: the first 50 or so items that came in there were maybe 1 or 2 good ones in the bunch and the rest were truly bad--clear rejects, horrible in every way, not spell checked, just total abominations. I was thinking "uh oh..."

That aside, again, thanks for popping in Clark and taking the time. It means a lot.
...Though any more teasing and I think my heart is going to explode...

Sitting here surrounded by rulebooks, empty mugs, and a slew of browser-tabs, it suddenly dawns on me what I feel makes this contest truly great.
Sure the chance of winning is awesome and the sense of participation is wonderful. Yet to me it is the thought of the hundreds upon hundreds of other gamers out there, each engrossed in the act of creating something new that thousands of others may come to enjoy, this is what really brings the beauty. If this contest has a heart, I believe it is the community it builds. If it has a soul, it is surely the imagination and creativity that it sparks in all of us.
I know this has been said many times before, but it bears repeating: Superstar or also-ran, I am darned proud to be a part of this!
This scene pops to mind:
Good Luck Everyone
And before the top 32 are announced, I'd just like to say, that its been very fun to participate. The Paizo community is very unconventional in its awesomeness, and I am glad to be a part of it. At very few other places have I seen such a sense comradery and support.

Well, since Sean said he was probably going to do a post-mortem on the not-quite Top 32, I suspect we'll find out.
I'm very much looking forward to see what items the crowdsourcing has lifted to the top.
I miss voting now that I've had some time off. I'm eager to see if my favorites made it, if I made it, if my best friend made it, and most of all if I need to get to the editing on my archetype. I saved the final edit for post announcement.
I'm also proud to have participated this year and happy to be a part of an interesting web community. There's even a part of me that would prefer not to make the top 32 this tiem around if only because I know I'll do better next year.
I'm greatly looking forward to seeing how this year's contest turns out! I think the public voting was a lot of fun and, most importantly, it seems to have worked. A big thanks to all the judges and everyone at Paizo who makes this contest possible each year!

I have really enjoyed this! If this is the last day I am still in the competition, it was still so worth it. I have to admit, I'm half-hoping to be out: that way I can continue to discuss and talk and complain freely. I'm not sure how I could handle treading on eggshells for a week to two months time!
Still, best of luck everybody!

Yes, best of luck to us all. This is one of the best, most supportive communities online. I'm certain.

Good luck to exactly 31 of you.

Yes, Good luck to the other 31 (since Eric Morton is obviously in already) ...
Very, very funny ... of course I'll be the first to congratulate you if you do make the cut Eric :)
Good luck all ... now, where were my notes on that Archetype ???

Good luck to you all, this year's competition will be the best yet!
Best wishes to everyone who participated. To the top 32, I hope you do your best and are pleased with the work you create.
Only 5 hours left. I just had a sort of surreal moment there when I realized just how close this thing is after several days of waiting.
Fingers crossed (eek! Never saw my item . . .), and good luck to all! I look forward to pinching the best of the top 32 for my campaign! :-P
The creativity I've seen was great, if sometimes not tempered by the wisdom of my great age (Hey! I'm young in Dragon years!), but I LOVE the obviius enthusiasm for a hobby that has given me countless hours of joy since I was but a wee dice slinger.
Skol!

Good Luck to all, from the sound of the Judges talk the top 32 are super super start quality so no pressure to perform in round to or anything.

I just finished submitting my guest judge comments on the Top 32 items. There are some very interesting items and some very talented designers in the mix this year. This is going to be a fun ride!
Good luck!

Good luck to everybody! This is my first year submitting, so I don't have high expectations. Just making a couple of 'keep' lists would be great. And oh - thanks to all those who have been posting in the RPGSS forums these past few weeks - it's made for great reading from work :)
Only an hour and a half now... the suspense is killing me! This year has been a lot of fun even if my item doesn't make it in. Voting and looking behind the curtain of the process I think has been very educational for the community.

One hour...
Good luck, everyone!
It's the home stretch! Congrats to all who made it and best of luck in future rounds.

Also, hey, I'm back!
