So I was looking at the rules for wounds in the players guide. How do you figure what Massive Damage is.

If you ever sustain a single attack that deals an amount of damage equal to half your total hit points (minimum 50 points of damage) or more and it doesn't kill you outright, you must make a DC 15 Fortitude save. If this saving throw fails, you die regardless of your current hit points. If you take half your total hit points or more in damage from multiple attacks, no one of which dealt more than half your total hit points (minimum 50), the massive damage rule does not apply.

Thanks.

I've had two instances from this weekend where I've used this iteration of massive damage and they were caused by an assassin that ambushed the party. The first was when the kitsune ninja got sniped by the assassin (he rendered her paralyzed as opposed to killing her) and the wound left a minor scar on her back. The second occurred with the oread monk of the empty hand who was looking for the assassin. He has a major scar going across his throat due to being nicked from behind (hide in plain sight can be quite unsettling to deal with).
