Sounds exciting! Too bad I will be back in Iowa by then :(

Silver Crusade 4/5

Looking forward to running City of A Golden Death!.. And it's not all death.. There's lots more gold...

Also looking forward to some Thornkeep adventuring of my own!

Also.. As the hotel is totally sold out, and I pre-ordered my room in advance, I am in need of roommates for the convention. Must be able transport themselves to and from the convention. Bonus if you are a BAPS member!

I have a double bed room, which would leave me room for three others. It would be 80 bucks a head for Friday night to Monday. Preferably 21 and up, cause we may have some ale-like beverages, but will take a 18 and up person as well. Co-Ed cool so long as you stay on your side and don't steal :D

Interested? PM me here.

Need a room of your own? The convention does have overflow hotels currently available as well. Secondary Hotel Plans

I may be able to pull off attending. If a miracle happens and I am able to afford it I might even show up all four days and judge a few tables. I might also need to find a place to crash to avoid the two hour commute each way.

I will definitely be there. Last year's Dundracon was where I found PFS and had a great time (thanks Mike!!!). One year, many scenarios, and 9 GM credits later I wouldn't miss this one for anything. I'm looking forward to getting that 10th GM credit and my first star.

The list of scenarios is amazing, so come and join us.

I totally look forward to running The Blackros Matrimony for you and Master John on Sunday. It's one of my personal favorites and going to be lots of fun!

I'm looking forward to running a few of the Thornkeep levels and some other scenarios at Dundracon - if my calculations are correct I will get my 2nd star either just before at at Dundracon... (hopefully the Thornkeep flipmats ship before the con...)

Reminds me however that I definitely need to book my hotel.... and see if anyone from SF/nearby wants to share the ride up and perhaps split a hotel room.

Anyone that wants to join us at DunDraCon, this is actually one of my favorite cons, because if it's small size and small community feel. It's got some growing pains as the con becomes more popular, but it works hard to keep the feeling family. Pathfinder Society has found a real home there, and we've got a large offering for such a small convention with 10 slots of 12 tables each. Even for our size, we get to know each other really well, and hang a lot more than we might at a larger con with more competition for our attention.

We've got great enrollment so far, but also plenty of tables yet to fill for judges. We also have plenty more 'ambassador' slots that allow for someone to be pathfinder-in-charge and help the players find their tables, get them signed up for slots, publishing table assignments, and making sure the judges have everything they need. It's a tremendously helpful thing to do, and if every player were to pick up at least one slot as ambassador, we'd have an awesome community experience.

So come and join us, participate, and enjoy what BAPS has to offer!

I have been trying to muster some of the local players out in CV. The posters Andrea made are awesome and a big help. I will also be playing one of my favorite characters, The Amazing Rando, as much as possible.

Liberty's Edge 5/5

I can't wait. This is one of my favorite cons. I've been attending since the 80's and have to say that the Pathfinder Society has definitely elevated the experience for me.

Thanks! I'm glad you like them. I think we sent the pdfs out to everyone, but in case we missed a coordinator anywhere, here are the links for the posters:

If you run out (or your store didn't receive at least one printed copy) Let me know and we'll see what we can do to get one out to you somehow.

I will be linking this to my local PFS groups Facebook page.

Edited after thought:

Andrea do you think you could make an unofficial but official looking boon sheet called Sarta buys you a beer that they can turn in to Will. That would be hilariously awesome.

Grand Lodge 5/5

Yeah, we can make that happen. One unofficial but pseudo-official looking boon sheet coming up.

How many do you think you'll need, Will? 10? 50? More? Will they be retroactive? How bout transferable?

Sounds like a great idea, but I don't believe I will qualify as a first time GM.

Oooooh, look at the lovely sparkly!!!!! Running First Steps for some new local players has given me that first star I thought I'd get at Dundracon.

Hey man, like the Forgotten Laboratory and stuff was totally groovy.

New to the whole Con thing. Let me understand this. Could I show up Friday, pay $30 (one day) and check things out? Do the seminars cost extra or anything?

Hi Mogre! When you have a valid convention badge (day or weekend), you gain access to play in any game, purchase from the dealer floor or attend any seminar.

PFS does not use the randomizing game selection process deployed for the rest of the Con. We use our warhorn page (linked above) to muster tables. DundraCon is a great first Con!

Silver Crusade 4/5

It's going to be awesome..

Liberty's Edge 1/5

It's looking like I'm just gonna be around for the flea market this year, but will toss my opinion into the ring that this is a fun, very accessible convention. Highly recommended.

Confirming that Dundracon is indeed a great first con. If you're in town, you should go, because who knows where you'll be and what you'll be doing a few years later.

That's too bad, Howie. I was looking forward to getting to play with you again.

Mogre, I'll second (third? fourth?) what everyone else has said, Dundracon is amazing and whatever time you can be there, you should definitely give it a whirl. The PFS crew in this area is amazing, and nothing shows that more than the way they come together at a con.

oh and 18 days, folks! It's coming.

You can by converting more players to the way of the Bay Area style and fashion of awesomeness. Would be better if you were here, but I can understand why you are not here. (And instead are in the cold lands of Irrisen AKA Iowa.)

How likely is it there will be game slots available for those unlucky in the main con's lottery?

1/5

Based on what's on the warhorn, pretty likely. I'm signed up to judge on Friday afternoon for We Be Goblins! along with 1 other person, and there are only 5 players signed up (i.e. there's only 1 table's worth on Warhorn, but there's likely to be plenty of walk-ins... which means my secret plan to play in that slot instead probably won't happen. =p)

Shadow Lodge 4/5 Venture-Captain, California—San Francisco Bay Area South & West

I've currently only got one player signed up on Friday for Rise of the Goblin Guild, too.
If I don't get a legal table I'll be available to run something else - maybe First Steps,
or maybe I could switch to We Be Goblins! We'll see what Joshua wants us to do.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 Venture-Captain, California—San Francisco Bay Area South & West

Anyone else going to be arriving on Thursday?

We'll be getting to the hotel some time in the afternoon, so if anyone wants to get together in the evening (either just socially, or maybe even to play a scenario) let us know!

We shouldn't have any trouble adding walk-ins to the tier 1-5 scenarios. I worry more about the First Steps scenarios with no GM's. Last year we had slots with 2-3 tables filled with walk-ins.
