Finding a place to repair them will be location dependent, but you might be able to ask your local library or used book shop if they have any recommendations.
Our hardcover books, especially the Core Book are big books and as large hardcovers, they do require special attention.
Here are some tips on keeping books in good shape:
~Open books gently.
~Support the cover by placing another book underneath it while it is open.
~Do not lay face down while open.
~Do not lay books on top of open books.
~Remove books from shelve by the center of the spine, not by pulling on the top.
~Most books can be stored upright. Make sure they are close enough to prevent books from leaning and becoming distorted but not so overpacked as to make removal difficult.
~Store books of a similar size next to each other. Use book ends for support if necessary. Large books (like the corebook) are best stored horizontally.
~If damage occurs, repair it immediately before it causes more damage.
