Not too long ago I was wondering the same thing. I don't know that it will happen again this year but I wish them luck.

Hey, I just realized something: between us, we've gotten an Eric into the Top 32 for four years running.

We must keep the Eric streak alive! And we must do so by getting both Erics into the Top 32 this year! It's the only sure way to dispel the rampant internet rumor that both Erics are one and the same!

I have to say, I really enjoyed the Jacobs last year. Their entries were quirky and interesting, their demeanors cheerfully good-natured and their avatars kinda weird. I have a feeling we may see at least one of them back this year. I know which one my money would be on...

Naturally, I'm doing all I can to make sure at least one Jacob makes it to the top 32. I'm also (in no particular order) rooting for:

• more Jacobs (and Erics, Donatos, Garretts, Anthonys, Mikkos, Johns, Andrews and Chris)
• more international finalists
• more female finalists
• more repeat finalists
• more newcomers
• everyone from the 9 blazing months thread

Phew...we're going to need to hit some pretty interesting combinations in the Top 32 to pull that off.
