If you're ok with me grabbing Adopted (since it isn't one actually) as campaign trait so I can get Sword Scion with it, then yes.

Ynaeve Amryln wrote:

cool, unfortunately I spent all my meager earnings.

Please take a look at my sheet. There is a custom mundane item I would like approval on, it just combines two items into one, no savings in cost or weight. adventurer's sash and spell component pouch.

Let me know if there is a problem with any of the kits as well. Again, just mundane gear grouped by function.

The adventure sash not in the PRD but from Seekers of Secrets? ;)

Sure, why not.

No, I'll not allow them to combine into a single item, but you can attach you spell component pouch to it instead of wearing it around your waist.

Actually, nevermind the Adopted. Had a brain fart....

craft sewing check once the game starts?

Mark me down as another one who was using the wrong online resource so Im going back and making updates, hope to have something posted later tonight or tomorrow.

As I make the changes, wondering if you would consider approving these 2 things:

Archaeologist archetype
Strong Arm Supple Wrist trait

As for Strong Arm Supple Wrist, sure.

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Just making sure everything with my Summoner is approved. I figured it would be, considering almost everything is pretty much Core or APG, nothing fancy.

Wow, this sure exploded! I was very interested, but got hooked up with a solid local group, and so I'm going to focus on that for a bit. I retract my interest for the time being. :)

Good on you Black Fang for picking this up, that's awesome. Hope you guys all enjoy.

@Ynaeve Amryln: I calculate you have 41 gp, 7 sp, 5 cp remaining, and carrying 37 pounds.

From what I can tell, you are personally carrying or wearing the following: light crossbow with 20 bolts, explorer's outfit, adventurer's sash, spell component pouch, backpack, pathfinder's kit (belt pouch, clay mug, dagger, two fishhooks, flint and steel, sewing needle, 50 ft. string, 50 ft. thread, whetstone), spellbook, mwk thieves' tools, and 53 coins (just over 1 lbs.)

Since you calculate 31 lbs., what have I included or what did you not include in what you are personally carrying?

Looking through the traits, these are what draw my eyes currently.

  • Rostlander or Sword Scion - As he will either have been allowed in upon his father's credit and is working to prove himself worthy or he has been going through intensive training as a monk in hopes of improving his chances at Aldori Swordlord (Which would work out well as it starts at level 3).

  • Reactionary - He is quick to react in hopes to prove himself worthy.

  • Heirloom Weapon - A momento of his father and an object of great importance to him. Every time he looks upon it his resolve in his choices strengthens.

With that said, will you allow Heirloom Weapon as one of my traits?

Also, do you have any criteria for how we spend our starting gold? If possible, I would like to spend pretty much all of his gold on making his heirloom weapon a Masterwork Aldori Sword instead of the standard stated in the trait. This will allow him to have it enhanced as the adventure goes on so that it can stay with him through his journeys and still be his main weapon.

Candidate list update:
(Morrin) Andrei Baskov, male half-elf bard (court)/summoner
(fnord72) Ynaeve Amryln, female aasimar (emberkin) rogue/wizard (conjurer [teleportation])
(MisterLurch) Korren Blake, half-giant gunslinger/inquisitor or strix druid (pack lord)/fighter (archer)
(Joshua Hirtz) unnamed, human fighter/monk (master of many styles)

(Sunset) fighter/ninja that thinks of itself as a monk

I have officially switched my concept over to the Human Fighter/Monk (Master of Many Styles) concept instead of the Sound Striker Bard/Ninja. I think this concept just fits better and will be a more enjoyable character for this campaign.

I'm cool with that.

Either trait is fine.

Do you mean the Aldori Swordlord prestige class?

Your starting wealth is yours to spend however you want. After all, if somebody plays a fighter/ranger with the brigand KM trait would have 700 gp starting wealth.

I was actually referring to the Fighter Archetype that starts up at level 3, but I might have to look at the prestige class as well now since you hinted towards the fact that I might be able to achieve access some how.

    Joshua Hirtz wrote:

Ah, I generally think of a character as their archetype even if the alternate class features don't kick in until later levels.

I can understand that view, I just think it will flow really well that it starts at level 3 since I'm leaning towards Sword Scion as his Kingmaker trait. So his trait says he strives towards becoming a great Aldori Swordlord and gaining access to the archetype at level 3 shows he has hit a major milestone in his life. Perhaps he finds a mentor at that point in the game or some other defining moment in his life long goal.

Agreed, it all depends on the character concept. ;)

Agreed, in this happen stance it just works really well to have him start it at a later level. And looking over the Aldori Swordlord prestige class, I find I would like to work towards that once I get more information, though I might have to ask if you would allow me to alter a feat for it.

    Which feat?

Intimidating Prowess - It allows one to add their Strength along with their Charisma to Intimidation checks. I would request that I be allowed to use my Dexterity instead of Strength with the feat as his entire premise is about using his manueverability to overcome his foes, not his strength. So while others might hit harder, he hits more accurately. While others swing their swords in what he considers wasted motions, he strikes with grace and practiced strikes.

Its not a required feat, but it is one I would be likely to take if I went into the prestige class.

    Sure, something like this?

    Frightening Agility (Combat)
    You move with startling grace.
    Prerequisite: Dex 17.
Benefit: Add your Dexterity modifier to Intimidate skill checks in addition to your Charisma modifier.
Special: You cannot have this feat and Intimidating Prowess on the same character.

Exactly like that. I'm glad I chose Fighter/Monk. So many feats...

Yup, as a human fighter/monk, you'll have at least 41 feats by 20th level.

    background:
Hyglak of House Lebeda knelt at the altar of Abadar, he wore only his small clothes and the cold of the northern winter bit his skin turning it red. Muttering under his breath he could hear the sound of activity in the courtyard, his half-brother would arrive soon. Smiling, he rose and dressed himself choosing some warm bear furs to cover his green and brown hued jerkin and trousers with a good, well worn pair of boots that he had cleaned and shined in the pre-dawn hours before running the boys through their sword and bow drills. He went down from his room in the northernmost tower to where his brother's carriage was just pulling in. Keeping to the gravel path he moved to await Iacobus as he stepped down from the carriage. His brother had aged in the months he had been in Restov tending to the main family's business there, this winter was not being kind to his bones, his limp was pronounced but when he saw Hyglak he straightened and they threw arms around each other.
"How was your trip big brother?" Hyglak asked, mirth in his eyes.
"Difficult and tiresome, these old bones aren't built for this anymore. But I am glad to see you Hyg." His wrinkled face beamed, "And how are my grandchildren? Been taking good care of them?"
"They're good Cob, your namesake is learning his swordwork well, I have the bruises to prove it. How about my nephew and nieces?"
"They take to New Stetven much better than I, come brother let's get out of this cold and around a fire." The elder brother led the way into the hall and Hyglak followed him.

It was the small hours of the morning, and in the firelight each of Iacobus's many wrinkles stood out. Hyglak was as smooth faced as when they were young, stealing kisses from the girls at the tavern, though he had developed a fair bit of stubble over the course of the day. Where one was grey haired and ancient the other could be confused for an elder grandson, that is except for his clawed hands and blood-red eyes. Hyglak was the product of their father's second marriage, a young Chelish noble woman of a minor house. Had it been known that Hyglak would be born a plane-touched such a marriage would never of happened, as it stood Hyglak had been forced to renounce his claim to so much as a branch house the day he came of age. Despite his fiendish heritage Hyglak was loved by his elder brother and that had kept him a productive member of the house. The younger brother had learned a degree of skill with the tongue and quill in addition to pursuits in hunting and tracking, for the last twenty years he had acted as the branch house's warden and marshall, finding criminals and game alike.

Iacobus's hand caressed the lanceboard piece before him, a pawn crafted of rosewood, "There is a war coming brother."
"Rumors have reached me here, is it as bad as it sounds?"
"It could be, a number of the swordlords are preparing a daring strategy to secure Brevoy's position should civil conflict begin." Iacobus moved the pawn into position and leaned back awaiting his brother's move.
"What could this strategy be? I thought that if Issia starts fighting Rostland the political manuevers would make discerning sides difficult?" Hyglak hovered his hand over his rook, eyeing the game board intently.
"There is a plan to send people in to secure trade in the Stolen lands, and possibly establish buffer or puppet states there."
Hyglak's eyes flicked up away from the gameboard and studied his brothers face, "And where do we fit in this brother?"
"I want you on one of the expeditions, this one to the Greenbelt. It would give our house influence in the region and if your youthful face is any indication it would be for quiet some time."
Hyglak moved his ebon rook and claimed one of his brother's knights, "Why do you really want me to go Cob?"
"You'll never inherit here, and while my children love you the main house is not thrilled with your presence in Brevoy. After my death I'm concerned what might happen to you, but down south they would have little say and you could make yourself a noble, ruler even." Iacobus smiled at his younger brother and moved his queen.
Hyglak rose and kissed his brother on the forehead, "I'll make you proud, I'll leave for Restov in the morning." Hyglak left the hall and went to his tower to pack.
A single tear rolled down the old man's cheek, "Checkmate, I'll miss you Hyg."

    Appearance:
Hyglak stands a bit on the taller side, he's fit but lean. He keeps his blonde hair trimmed and tries to keep his face clean shaven in the Taldan fashion. His eyes are red like the sunset and his hands are clawed, though not particularly long or wicked looking they are clearly useful in battle. He wears subdued colors and styles most of the time but is not a stranger to finer court clothes. He smells of mint but it hard to pinpoint the source, some suggest his ancestry, others think he chews it when no one is looking. He moves with a gentle but brusque manner and possesses more grace than his frame would indicate.

If it's claws from the Maw or Claw alternate tiefling racial trait, then I don't need to answer.

For a tiefling to have the Noble Born trait, you must be a ward of that house, expressed in rules as having the Adopted trait. You can have the Bastard trait without needing the Adopted trait.

    So, Adopted:Noble Born:House Lebeda?

Connel the Skirmisher/Archaeologist for your consideration....

Yes. Complicated, I know, but it'll help us (me) all remember without having to completely read background every time.

So many characters to choose from. How ever will I decide....

I fixed my cash and weight.

This is Josh and this will be the Avatar I use for my character. Still working on a name though.

Here is Kazremek the Cavalier/Magus. Everything is from the PRD. I didn't find the starting gold for the Cavalier so I used 175 (like the paladin). Is this appropriate? If not, I'll be happy to change it since I will probably look over the gear again. If I left out any information you need or if something isn't clear don't hesitate to ask.

    Background, Personality, Appearance:
Background: Kazremek spent his early childhood in the village of Sweetmilk Field. His dreams of adulthood were larger than that of a tavern owner’s fifth son in a Rostland Plains village had any right to be. He knew adventure was out there. Occasionally Fluemirynsol the Elf, Pip the bard, or Sir Shuvan would pass through the village. At the age of ten, he defended the village drunk from a small group of boys tormenting him. Impressed, Fluemirynsol asked his parents to let him become his pupil. After asking Kazremek what he wanted, but deciding before, they agreed. The next morning he left with the elf and started learning the mysteries of battle and magic. Twelve years later he returned. Now 6’4” with a short beard, he was nearly unrecognizable. The tension between Issia and Rostland worries him. Whether or not the two regions belong to one nation doesn’t really matter to him. Helping to explore and tame the Stolen Lands is an optimistic act, taking the long view that another nation in the area may help the commoners avoid the conflict. Plus he has heard of bandits in the Stolen Lands and thinks they should be routed from there and brought to justice.

Personality He believes that honesty is usually the best policy. He cares for people and will spare time to talk to stable hands, shepherds, artisans, housewives, cobblers, and farmers to gain their perspective on life and current events. People may be stratified into different classes but that doesn’t innately make anyone undeserving of respect. Kazremek smiles easily and laughs at physical humor especially. He doesn’t feel the need to speak to fill silence. He is happy reading books on history, arcana, religion, or legends during his down time.

Appearance: Tall and thick with muscles. Dark hair cut shaggily around his ears and neck. He has dark brown eyes. Studded leather armor dyed shadow blue. A longsword and spell component pouch at his waist. His face and neck are slightly tanned from the hours in the saddle. The rest of his skin is fair from being protected from the sun by armor, long sleeve shirts, and robes.

My life has snowed me under. So I wont have anything ready until late next week.

Looks like I miss out on this one. *Sigh*

    Much cheers to all.

Called in to work, so I'll be busy until Tuesday, so you have until Tuesday at the earliest to have a completed candidate.

First, sorry for the delay. Korren Blake is under construction but life has done its best to get in the way.

Second, I am taking the pioneer trait. It says I start with a horse. What kind of horse is it? And it it is not combat trained, can I pay the difference in its value and the value of a combat trained mount to upgrade?

not sure on paying the difference, but generally I have seen it as the most basic, a light riding horse.

question #3: what era of firearms are we playing in? I am assuming emerging firearms.

question #4: given that I have the gunsmithing feat, can I pay the 'cost to make' for my ammunition?

It is a light horse. You can pay the difference to have some else train it, or you can with enough successful Handle Animal checks.

    Emerging firearms, yes.

You have the feat, you can use it.

Hmm. When are you closing applications?

@Kastarr: See post five above yours

Going to go with 'Gill-person' as per these rules. Gillmen" Under which you'll note the 'Alternate racial traits' of which I shall pick 'Riverfolk'.

Expressing interest in creating a druid character (either druid/ranger or druid/fighter (archer)). One question - if I were to go druid/ranger and had an animal companion from each, would I get two companions eventually, or would the druid and ranger levels stack for the purposes of defining the companion's stats?

If you want more than one animal companion, you'd need either the pack lord druid archetype, or the beastmaster ranger archetype. Your levels would not stack, and you wouldn't receive companions from both classes.

Okay a Gesalt Tengu Rogue Swordmaster/Fighter weapon master
