Warding against possession

Are there any magical items or feats that a human fighter can take to ward against possession (such as magic jar or a ghost's malevolence ability)?

My fighter has recently been possessed by a ghost, only to have the game end in cliff-hanger before the the exciting conclusion. Should he survive the experience, I imagine the first thing he's going to do is try to find a way to keep it from happening again.

Well, there is a minor artifact: Crown of the Simurgh. That one gives you a constant protection from evil.

Alternatively, a Knight's Pennon would let you cast protection from evil on yourself once per day.

There might be other options, but these are the only ones I know of that a fighter might be able to use. Might be easiest to just use some potions.

Here are a few ideas.

- Perhaps the Horn of Goodness/Evil

Horn:
This trumpet adapts itself to its owner, so it produces either a good or an evil effect depending on the owner's alignment. If the owner is neither good nor evil, the horn has no power whatsoever. If she is good, then blowing the horn has the effect of a magic circle against evil. If she is evil, then blowing the horn has the effect of a magic circle against good. In either case, this ward lasts for 1 hour. The horn can be blown once per day.

- Potion of Protection from Evil

- Investing in Iron Will/Improved Iron Will

That's what i can think of with a quick search but there might be more.

Yeah. That's the best defense against possession I've seen.
