Kinda what I'm thinking. The show - like Supernatural - will continue long after it has become a parody of itself, so long as Amell is willing to sign a new contract.
The rest of the cast is expendable, and are best off getting out while they can still get other jobs.
Its not that I don't enjoy the show. In many ways I like it better than Legends - despite liking much of the other cast far better. But everything must end, and CW likes to drag the dead corpse around.
The Apocalypse was season 5 (a season with an episode titled Jump the Shark, featuring a 3rd younger brother), this is 12?, right? God has a sister. And whatever they are doing now.
Does anyone want that for Arrow?
Given she isn't essential. Her character, Thea Dearden Queen, is a new character based on Mia Dearden - a minor supporting character, who I don't believe has returned from Flashpoint. I would prefer if she (Thea) simply left, and could make guest appearances, or be referenced in present tense from time to time.

Green,
Currently they're dealing with the fallout of God's sister, a dead mom and now Lucifer's love child. (I kid you not. He got out and did it with the USA president's intern.)
What I want from Arrow is for them to have a Flashpoint and reboot it so that Oliver is less Batman and more...well something else.

Don't forget he was possessing the president when they conceived.
Also, Dean killed Hitler.
LOL,
Say what you want... I still love that show ^_^

Saw the first fake out death coming. We didn't actually see it. Not even a sound effect. Though I wasn't expecting the reveal in this episode. She really hates Ollie.

There was also a Felicity flashback previously. And wasn't there a few for Digg?
I remember being all shocked the first time Diggle had a flashback, I was like, 'Wait, people other than Oliver have pasts?'
And Felicity as a goth in her flashbacks is just awesome.
So, as to the show, did I miss an episode where Ragman died or something? 'Cause I haven't seen him for awhile...

MMCJawa |

Yeah, he used the rags to absorb a nuclear explosion, which put them out of commission (unclear as for how long) and he left.
I think he specifically left to try to find a way to reactivate them.
He's been one of my favorite characters this season, so hoping he might get graduated to Legends if he doesn't appear again on Arrow. His powers just seem to elevate him to a different level than the rest of the crew.

Agreeing with MMC, he's too powerful for Team Arrow, so is Black Canary.
eh....Black Canary is a meta but her powers (to me) don't seem to be such that she is on another level of power from the rest of the crew. Ragman is essentially bullet proof and can absorb the blast of a nuke. That's Kryptonian/Flash level of super-powered, not "I can shoot arrows really good".

I can't frankly blame Oliver. Emily Bett Richards is a cutie.
Agreed.
I'm a huge fan of Felicity... but not so much a fan of Olicity. She's (usually) a great character to have around.. but they are a terrible couple.
Ideally the best case scenario would be for Iris to die and (maybe/maybe not) have Caitlin stay evil... and Felicity moves to Central City. Her and Barry had crazy charisma!

Its because the writers can't have characters in a relationship Chill they have to be stock full of relationship drama. Really though Those two don't really have anything in common aside from the whole superheroing thing. Oliver is not a computer guy and Felicity is not into archery, parkour, and fitness training.

Oliver has the basic problem... of NOT being a very good character! Is he psycho killer? Is he a jokey mild mannered guy? Is he both? Is he a generally nice guy who occasionally pretends to be a psycho killer?? Or is he a Killer who pretends to be the nice guy around his 'friends'?
I don't know... I don't think HE knows.. They backtrack every season and frankly happy Ollie just feels... poorly acted. I just don't buy the soft the sensitive Ollie when Amell is reciting the lines.
Flash?? He's Barry in a Flash Mask. the character is well defined and solid... but Ollie?? They don't know what they want him to be.
yeah, Olicity would never work because it's core is just hooking up the two most physically attractive people on the team and having them rip each others clothes off... which bought them a couple of seasons... but yeah, they have absolutely ZERO in common with each other.

She's a glass cannon. That can shatter glass, too. huhuhuhu
Yeah, she's a hand-to-hand scrapper, like pretty much everyone, with a ranged attack, again, like pretty much everyone. (Bow, guns, canary cry, no huge difference tactically, unless she starts shouting down buildings or something. They all put down people at range.)
Ragman did take it to another level, and was perhaps a little too big for Team Arrow, and may be better suited to tag along with Supergirl, the Flash or the Legends of Tomorrow.

Vid,
I dunno. It feels like they out-do Flash sometimes on his...
But mostly Olicity has the problem of "If he's happy, how can he fight crime?!" It seems. I mean I guess they keep vacillating between vigilante hero that might be a Batman analog or someone that might pass on the guns in favor of being a Punisher with arrows.
So...yeah.

Big thing about Canary is its not just a ranged attack, but an area effect. She can target a crowd so long as there are no friendlies.

Remind me why Evelyn is working for this guy? She quit Team Arrow because Ollie was The Arrow, and she wouldn't work with a murderer.
I did like that part at the beginning where they lampshade the season finale build-up every year. This reminds me of something I'd thought about recently. What if, they didn't do the big crossover at mid-season? Instead just having mini-crossovers (like the Supergirl/Flash crossovers). Then everyone's season arcs either dovetail, with all the villains the four (five counting Black Lightning, six if you work in Mari/Modern Vixen) coming together to form the Injustice Society (or whatever) forcing the heroes to unite for an epic 4-5 night season finale.
A corollary to that. I'd like to see all the DCW shows follow the formula Agents of SHIELD did this season, with smaller arcs, instead of a single 22-24 episode one. Less padding the story out, in order to prevent premature revelations.

I remember some hilarious little moment of Felicity talking to another character (might have even been during a Flash crossover) about watching Ollie do the salmon ladder... with a shudder. :)

Please don't bring back Olicity. This season was better without it.
Honestly, theres a whole other half of the audience that disagrees. My wife didn't read too many comics as a kid but she's into the movies and shows. Olicity is one of her favorite aspects of the series.
I happen to like them together. I totally get why they work. They compliment each other very well and they're fun to watch.
It's also fun that now when Oliie growls, the team cowers, Diggle's like "Whatever Oliver" and Felicity's "Are you done?"
