If you have the pdf then you should be able to take a screen shot, and use the MS paint to crop the picture. If you only have the physical book then using a copier should work, but yo might have to use scissors to cut the map or handout out. I think the new pdfs have interactive maps so you can print it out without giving too much away, but don't quote me on that.

They do. I've taken to redoing the maps by hand to kinda give it a little bit of personality. If you have the PDF, just select the image of the map, right-click and save image as.

I use Foxit PDF which lets me copy the maps out of PDF without the markers, numbers, or DM notes on them, and just copy it to MS Paint. I then modify it as needed, usually add Numbers and Letters for a graph and save it.
Personally I use Imageshack.com, uploading the pictures and then droping the link in the PbP. Google docs is good to, as it lets you allow others to alter it, and you can post character and NPC images onit with layers, allowing those images to be moved around. I find that for PbPs that people tend to respond from phones and work computers often, and sometimes can not access.google docs, so using statc pics from Image shack tends to be better for everyone.

You might need to use maptools to make a map. That is beyond my skill level though. There is/was a site that had player handouts for Shackled City, AoW, and STAP already made. If I can remember the name I will give it to you. Other than that replicating the map(it won't be pretty) can be done in google docs.
PS:I remembered.
Try this site. I know it went down once, and lost a lot of info, but that was over 2 years ago. They may have what you need now.
