There's one other group, kind of. The three players whose characters started out as drow?

Are their names Draast, Drazz't, and Drizzle?

Did they all abandon the evil Drow society, escape the Darklands, thus each gained an ultra-cool enemy, which vicariously gives their character importance, all whilst being shunned by the surface world, adding just the right amount of sadness and ironic tragedy to the depth of their character?

Kobolds and goblins are fun fun fun to play. I've played both and had a blast! Putting both into one adventuring group and you have a recipe for awesome. The lawfully-aligned kobold and the rather chaotic goblin(I know NE, but they act CE a lot) mindsets gets me thinking that you could have a pint-sized odd couple thing going on with them.

For role playing, I suggest that you to make up goblin songs for when you do your class abilities, and use a lot of kobold slang. Shiny good good fun! Merk!

For inspiration, here's a few poems my goblin cavalier shouted in a recent Kingmaker campaign I played in:

Skritch’s Battle Song
Me polite and introduce
One who squish you into juice
Dragon knight is never rude
I be Skritch and you be food!

Put the Baron to the Sword
Burn his castle if you're bored!
Party guests stick on your lance
Chop their hair and burn their pants!

Challenge Song
Hey you! Big one over there!
Come and face me if you dare!
Me be badass goblin knight
And me be spoiling for a fight!

Sword go slice, your head go crunch
Keep your toes for when it’s lunch
Shout so loud, your head be burst
I be Skritch, and YOU DIE FIRST!

Tactics Song
Dirty fighting isn’t magics
Humans call it using tactics
Listen closely when me shout
Sometimes orders help you out!
