Gm Wu's the war within replacement recruitment.

Recruitment

1 to 50 of 117 << first < prev | 1 | 2 | 3 | next > last >>

I am looking for three player to recriut as replacements 20 point buy.

houserules
Doctor_wu
houserules and rulings that might not quite be RAW (A lot of these are minor corner cases)
1. Angels are not immune to petrification.
2. Vermin Heart(APG) allows mind affecting spells that affect animals to work on vermin Awaken also works with vermin heart. Also mites get vermin heart for free just feels right if they cast spells
3. No obsidian Urumis These just do not make sense as obsidian is not flexible.
4. Scout rouges get handaxe proficiency for free (I just think it feels right and aren't shortswords more powerful)
5. You can put a flag or torch in a locked gauntlet if you really wanted to.(I don't think you can by raw but this makes more sense.)
6. I give out a +2 circumstance. bonus if you make an intimidate check on someone who is prone and you threaten him.
7. Please no player vs player combat.

Oh level 2. 2 traits

I have a Cavalier concept in mind. What are the race/class of the current party?

Half orc alchemist (vivisectoinist ragechemist), half orc inquisitor, half elf winter witch. Oh and campaign is in Lastwall near Castle Everstand. Currently the replacements and wandering towards the party. Oh and 1000 gp of gear for second level.

I don't know anything about Lastwall or the area but I would be interested in giving it a shot. I'd probably run a ranger.

Oh and no summoner.

Storm Fleetfoot, Human Cavalier, Order of the Dragon

What sort of Terrain is around Lastwall near Castle Everstand?

Hragas wrote:

Plains and forest.

All races go?

This computer doesn't like to save profiles So I can put the guts here on a message and then in about 3-4 hours I should have access to my home computer and put it in an actual Alias.

Yes on backstory about two paragraphs more if you want.

ORc will be a good favorite enemy.

Max at first level then use online dice roller for 2nd level.

What do you think?

story:

Grynby grew up in a town that was sem-regularly under attack. It was nothing spectacular. He learned how to fight Orcs in his years there and learned basic survival techniques. As he grew so did the town. It eventually became a Timber Town and soon the average folk weren't needed to defend there were paid guards from a Company.

So he looked at his options, stay here and cut wood, be a local guardsman, or leave and find out who he really wants to be. He's not the type to sit still well and it's true in more than just chairs. So he left and travels on the road looking for people who need help and trying to find out if there's any One place in particular he feels like staying at.

Generaly an agreeable fellow, not very good with words but occasionally and if you're the right person he opens up with Wisdom.
I know it's not much but I don't know a whole lot of specifics about the Area to make myself more specific.

Also: 2nd level health 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Lastwall wiki useful for background.

Storm Fleetfoot V 1.2

Updates:

-Added Backstory
-Added Traits

Better?

Scarab Sages

I have a charming gnome winds oracle that could come along. I'd have to level her to 2 and re-do some stats, but she could be ready soon if you're interested in having her.

Full Disclosure: this would be my first PbP game so I really have no idea what I'm getting into beyond what I've seen while spectating in some other campaigns.

This is the character. will edit to match your standards soon

Piper 'pip' zappenpop remember you will have a 15 foot speed with lame curse. This will slow the rest of the party down on overland travel.

@ Grinby Where is carefully hidden trait from?

Yes, I have edited and corrected everything I can spot. I can level her to 2nd if you think she is an option for your campaign. Otherwise I'll leave her at 1 and move along.

"I usually move about my making friends with Big People. When they realize how slow I walk they're usually more than willing to let me ride on their shoulders! I love riding in shoulders! It's so much more windy up there. Sometimes I wonder what it would like to be Big. If I were Big I would stare at the clouds even more and her my Winds even more!"

If you think that a 15 foot speed would be too much of a hindrance even if I can Diplomacy my way onto someone's shoulders, and that's the only thing stopping her from joining, then I'll think about switching her to Haunted curse. Lame just fit so well with the story I couldn't pass it up.

I found it in Here

EDIT: D20PFSRD Says it comes from Pathfinder Companion: Taldor, Echoes of Glory. I can find another one.

That does fit very well with the story. Hmm you can always get a riding dog for traveling overland as well. I want to see her at level 2 to make a comparison.

Did you want me to find a different trait? It's not a big deal if that's the case.

I will level her then. I can also use some of the 1000 gp from lvl 2 to buy a trained riding dog. I'll also take a look at my spells known and make sure I'm not duplicating anything the witch or alchemist can do.

Yeah a different trait would be nice as taldor is far away sort of.
@ pip.
The party inquisitor has bless as a spell known so that might be dupilicating

Character updated to 2nd level. Riding dog and accessories purchased along with a wand of cure light wounds. Also switched out a couple spells. Going for a Buffer/controller type caster. Will probably dismount for combat as I can't make the DC 15 ride check to attack reliably.

The party already has a wand of cure light wounds with 24 charges.

It never hurts to have extra healing

"I happen to be one source of healing in the current group."

Reactionary You gain a +2 trait bonus on Initiative checks.

Grinby wrote:

definitely and ok trait.

I've basically spent all my gold on weapons alone. Any advice on anything I might want?

removed wand and got mwk. crossbow and buckler for reduced armor check (now at 0 armor check). Have over 400 gold left over and I'm open to suggestions as I don't know what exactly the party currently has.

We've been going camping.

"I have most everything I should need for camping! I have all my pots and pans and forks and knives and I can light the fire with my fingers! I love fish. Do you love fish? I have 10 hooks just waiting to get used. Too bad fish in rivers are so small. Someday I want to fly to a big ocean and catch a real fish.
I only don't have a tent. Maybe I should get a tent... but then I couldn't see the sky... Why do they make tents anyway!?"

I love Camping!

It was posted by a fellow player in an other campaign that you are recruiting, with a link here.

I see the allowed races listed, are 3rd party classes allowed? If yes Which one? (Or which aren't, if that is easier)

I will try to make a concept/char that is interesting but also able to fill a "Gap" in the party.

"I recall their being no 3PP questions asked, when I was recruited.
So you might be allowed 3PP, you might not."

ONly 3pp stuff I will allow with approval is stuff from wayfinder. I don't think there are entire classes in their though.

Bought a few scrolls just because I had the gold. Character should be final unless you spot some other thing you'd like to see changed.

The scrolls are not showing on your profile.

@storm you appear to have spent 2 more points than you have please reduce by 2.

I recorded them under the "consumables" section. Is there some other place you'd like them?

Did not see that section sorry.

Storm Fleetfoot V 1.3

Updates:

-Fixed Point Buy

Silver Crusade

Are you still taking characters? If you are, what do you need?

Yes still taking characters. Don't really need anything so choose what we want. We have an melee alchemist, winter witch, and inquisitor currently.

Just curious if you have a time constraint on recruitment or not and how you will notify the chosen. As I said before, this will be my first PbP so I dont know how long recruitments generally last.

I am thinking Monday as time constriant but will notify chosen through this thread.
