Like many others I store my old games and video games for nostalgia or maybe because I have the space.
With Pathfinder I bough a hard cover CRB and stored it since I got the PDF. Now after some time I got several PF PDFs and I wonder what is the coolest way to store them.
For the moment I know that they are securely stored on my downloads on the paizo's site. However in time they may remove old PDF from the page or replace them with "second editions".
However from a collector/nostalgic point of view having all the pdfs with my name on them and remembering the old art when they change it will be nice.
So I wonder guys: How are you storing your PDFs for the future? I am being paranoic and Paizo will never remove them? Or are you creating Nice labeled DVDs with them?
PD: If your from Paizo I will love if you provide pathfinder society DVD covers on the download section OR a service to pay you for sending me my PDF collection on nice looking DVD! Just an idea! :)

People still use DVD as data storage? So vintage! My /Paizo folder is 5 GB and rests on an external USB HDD in case quick transfer to the laptop/netbook/tablet/phone is needed.
Only for long term storage! DVDs when properly stored has proven to be a better choice for long term storage. Of course for daily use my external mirrored HD drive is a way better choice.

Have they? Most of the articles I have read seem to indicate that both CD and BD have a considerably longer life expectancy than DVD.
.But to the question...
My d20 folder resides on my main disk.
Which is replicated daily to my second computer in another room.
Plus, I have a backup of the files I want to keep (this includes the paizo pdfs) on an USB stick I carry with me.
Finally, I have monthly backups of important files on SD cards, which are placed in the locker at my bank.
*laughs* I guess I am overdoing things...

I mean compared to a HD not CD! However compared to CD my personal "study" of storing them for about 10 year has proven DVD+R to be as reliable as CD and cheaper in term of size/price relation.
By the way your storage practices are very mania... I mean safe! I like the SD Idea. In time they should be as cheap as DVDs!

I sent invites for dropbox to everyone I know and ended up with almost 17 gigs of free space.
I was still pushing the limit and had other things I wanted to backup, so I dropped $100 on 50 more gigs, which they recently doubled so I'm up to 117 gb.
I occasionally backup again to a 500 gb external drive.
EDIT: oh, I also keep a 32 gb flash drive strapped to my hip with all my paizo files
So yeah... it's backed up five times
* paizo account
* dropbox online folder
* desktop dropbox folder
* laptop dropbox folder
* external hard drive.
* flash drive

They sit on my main computer's hard drive, and I also have copies on my backup drive and my secondary computer's hard drive as well. I've also copied most of them to my iPad.
I have also printed out one grayscale copy each of all of the PDFs for which I don't have the print version. They're all 3-hole-punched and in binders.

I keep a falsh drive on my keychain with all of my books in PDF format. That way, when I go to someones house and they say, ...well I don't have that book."
My response, "Got a computer?"
Hopefully followed by "Presuming that you don't run any torrent apps that automatically scan new media for documents etc. and start uploading them."
