Races Revised: The Kobold Kings by Owen K.C. Stephens is available now!

"The Kobold Kings" is a term used by the common civilized races to describe those kobolds that differentiate themselves from the sniveling, fearful, treacherous, and cowardly nature that otherwise defines their race as a whole.

This product includes:

*The history of kobolds and a sub-race, the fierce koldemar.
*Notes on introduce koldemar/heroic kobolds into your campaign
*Koldemar racial traits
*Kobold/Koldemar names (with more than 400 possible male and female names)
*Alternate racial traits, revising and expanding on what's in the Advanced Race Guide
*Favored class bonuses for every class, including all the SGG classes
*Two kobold archetypes, the apocalypse (a draconic fighter who focuses on the physical power of his draconic heritage rather than its magic) and the harasser (a traps master rogue). Both can be taken by any class if the rules from the Super Genius Archetypes books are also in use.
*Racial feats, revising and expanding on what's in the Advanced Race Guide
*New mundane gear and magic items, including elfhide armor.
*Six full-color paper figures of kobold champions

Roughly 18 pages of content, plus 1 page cover and 1 page credits

If you ever wanted to surprise players with some Kick a$$ kobolds, the this is your product. Brings a whole backstory to the origins of kobolds, and if you include them somehow - Dragonborn, to your game.

Okay, when do we get a book on the Dragonfolk themselves? I *know* we can make dragonfolk characters with this book, and they can use koldemar options, but I'd love to see even more dragonfolk-specific options!

It is already in the book in the form of a racial trait. Without giving it away entirely, it gives them medium size with a bit different stats in exchange for a few other traits.

Additionally, the lore behind them points out the Dragonfolk themselves are long gone and extinct as a race. What is left behind are the Koldemar. Some of the later are still occasionally born with the full stature of their fore-bearers though.

*edit* Still working on the review. It is taking shape now, though I admit I've never done one before and it is taking time to get it the way I want. I will say it is definitely a good buy for the price (especially with that sale you guys had on) if you want options for a viable Kobold PC or as a DM for making some truly nasty adversaries for your PCs if all they are expecting are usual kobolds.

Certainly dragonfolk as I had envisioned them don't need a full book, for all the reasons Aleron just outlined. You can use Kobold Kings for dragonfolk if you want to add them, and still have an impressive list of options.

But certainly, I always take patron requests seriously. Is there a big demand for an expanded set of dragonfolk-specific options, and some background material to explain why maybe they aren't mostly extinct after all?

Easy, not everybody's campaign is the same. The options could be fore settings similar to Eberron, where the conclave of dragons described in Kobold Kings still exists. Not to mention any world run by dragons.

I said Dragonborn, because I have seen a number of Dragonborn conversions on these boards. I even use one for my Eberron game. This book just gives options I can include for anybody interested in playing one of them. Options I don't have to create myself.

There is always the option of another Bullet Point: The Lost Dragonfolk.
