Ninja / monk Vow of Silence?

Ok so im making a ninja/monk combo and i had a question about vow of silence. Can you communicate via telepathy to say a cohort thats a arcane caster?

Ninjas can take the vow of silence without being monks, as they have a ki pool as well.

yea i know they can but i wanted to go unarmed badass using sap master feats.. I just wondered if it was legal for him to comunicate with telepathy..

If the GM wants to argue with it, just point out no one can truly silence their mind unless dead, even a monk with silence vow should be able to use telepathic communication, after all he doesn't *speak* a word.
