So, my players have decided not to kill all the vampires in the Underground, deciding to save resources for the task at hand rather than letting the paladins hatred of undead sidetrack them. I was a little surprised to hand out xp at the end of the investigation and see them hit a level. Mid level, and they gained 2 levels in 3 sessions...crazy.
Anyway, I'm wondering if I'll need to throw out any extra treasure in the upcoming parts to make up for what they could have gotten killing all the vampires. Does the AP make up for that, or should I generate a few random hoards to throw out at the tailors shop and abbey?

I put an extra 120.000 gold pieces reward from count Siervage into the mix to make up for the shortfall on gold and the greater number of PCs in my group ( got six ).
Also, since the next module assumes a situation until the very end where buying equipment is nigh impossible, it is a good idea to have some method available for the group to very quickly obtain new stuff ( trading in old magic items for new ones and so on ).
In my case I let count Siervage use his centuries-old connections to get the PC's any wished for ( and affordable by them ) piece of equipment which was commonly available in a metropolis.

Not a bad idea. I've got five players, so I'll probably throw out about 100k, maybe a bit more to let them upgrade in advance of the run to Gallowspire.
