Copies of material.

Alright so several of my local friends have presented intrest in getting into PFS while we were looking through some things one of them has a question I wasn't sure on.

If my buddy and his wife are both gaming do they both have to own a copy of a book/pdf in order to both use something from it if they are gaming at the same table?

Would this be different if they were at different tables?

If they are at the same table, they could share a book. If they are at separate tables, one would need a photo copy or print out of the relevant pages that apply to their character.

I've seen family members run back and forth to share stuff at different tables. I've even seen two family members with their character sheets on the same laptop at different tables. That was awkward at first, but I think one of them was able to print hers and give the laptop to the other.
