Ok, I know everyone is excited about 5E and the playtest. But hey, players for 4E deserve some 4E content in this forum too!

So, just a heads-up that the Midgard Bestiary is being made available for 4th Edition D&D, with 150 monsters. The book is designed, playtested, edited, and the presses are ready to roll--it just needs help funding a print run.

I backed this as I am getting more and more into 4e now (so much so that I worry I wasted my money buying all those 3.5 books) plus the preview page is in colour and looks gorgeous and as WotC don't sell PDFs at least I can copy and paste from this when prepping adventures.

The 4E Bestiary is now less than $700 from meeting the funding goal. As a celebration, I have added a sneak preview of a famous Zobeck monster on the Kickstarter site. Take a look!

This project is definitely benefiting from the smaller Midgard Bestiaries that came before, both the PDF edition for AGE and the print version for Pathfinder. We've been refining the look, stepping up the art, and the layout is more refined with each iteration.

I'm very, very happy with how this one has turned out. I do hope that 4E players will join as backers so that it can be printed. The project is just $500 from the goal!

Today is the last call for this book. It has met 3 stretch goals and is in sight of a 4th, so the deal now includes bonus monsters, two mini-adventures and a player-centric book as well.

Take a look at update #8 for all the other extras as well. It ends at 9 PM Pacific tonight!

Best 4E bestiary ever, IMO. Well laid out, excellent art. Nice balance with flavour material and mechanics. Really glad this came off. :)

Just downloaded my copy - its looks great and though I won't likely read it cover to cover I may mine it for monster stats in my Eberron and Dark Sun games.

My plan as well. Some of the flavour really does not work for my campaign but there are a lot of really well designed monsters with excellent backgrounds in this bestiary. Quality is really topnotch - an excellent resource and I'm glad I got it.
