Hey all.
So I needed a weapon to stand in while I save up for my "Real" one (Adamantine is expensive)
Anyway I spent 2 PP to buy a....
Masterwork 300GP
Bec de Corbin 15GP
Silver 2-Handed weapon 180GP
Well that only cost 495 out of 750 I could spend......
So I went looking for add ons and found "Consecrated Weapon"
Found Here
Anyway I thought what the hell, its 150GP, well within the cost range so I tossed it on.
As the character does not himelf channel I went ahead and made it holy to everyones fav pirate, Besmara. (fits the backstory)
I assumed that this would NEVER get used as well, how many clerics of besmara do you run into?
However the following was brought up to me..
Because a focus includes the holy symbol of a specific religion, in most cases a cleric cannot activate the focus of another faith (though your GM may rule that a member of an allied church can activate another religion’s focus).
So in a home game I would ask my GM, but its not a home game. its PFS
So is this just fluff?
Could a cleric of say a Ocean diety charge it up?
Anything?
Thanks for reading.

I do not understand the question entirely, are you unable to find a cleric of Besmara or are you just wanting to skip a fee and get another player at the table to do it? I know as a player you would be hard pressed to convince me to charge a weapon to do half damage to one target when I could do full damage/healing in a 30' circle.

Using channel foci's is really for channel energy users and generally no, you can't activate other cleric's channel focus unless it's of same deity.
Consecrated weapon isn't bad really. Channel Smite works on 1 declared attack while Consecrated weapon remains charged until it hits, albeit at 50% less damage.
I use channel foci's on my channel negative energy cleric to spend those channels more effectively.

PFS still has a little GM wiggle room, so here's my take on it:
Sounds like mostly fluff. You might be able to run into a cleric of Besmara depending on your Diplomacy (Gather info) or Knowledge: Local rolls, and where you are at the time. I'd run it as an interesting, although time-sinking encounter. Your party may well object to you running off to find an obscure clergy in the middle of a mission.I'd personally allow another faith to charge it if you can find something in canon that says Besmara is allied with that religion. Be sure to bring that reference with you to the game along with your copy of Adventurer's Armory for the Consecrated Weapon modification. D20pfsrd.com, while very useful for research is not a legal reference for PFS play. You must provide either a printed copy or legal PDF watermarked pages when you are trying to justify this to a GM.
