Looking at the skirmisher ranger, I see no reason why the archetype couldn't just be combined with the paladin class.
Every trick except Catfall, Chameleon Step, Deft Stand, Hateful Attack, Quick Climb, Quick Swim, Surprise Shift, Stag's Leap and Uncanny Senses fits fine, if you allow the paladin to use tricks with his divine bond mount as though its an animal companion.
I'd allow the paladin a couple of new tricks too:
Righteous Attack: a version of Hateful attack that works on evil undead, outsiders and dragons instead of favoured enemies.
Uncanny Intuition: a version of Uncanny Senses which improves Sense Motive instead of perception.

I am looking for an archetype for the Paladin that is similar to the Ranger Skirmisher (APG) where spell casting is traded for mundane abilities.
Does anyone have a homebrew they would be willing to share?
If your allowed 3.5 materials there was also a spell less Paladin and Ranger 'kit' in the Unearthed Arcana book that you may want to get some idea's from. I think they traded spells for some limited Fighter Feat access.

I have this great class alternative.... it's called..... The Fighter. You get to trade all that magical ability you don't want for martial badassery. You can't get more mundane than that.

For a more martial paladin an easy way would be to give them the ancestral weapon (I think that was the name of it) feat for free from the book of exalted deeds and just take out the GP requirement. OR Item Familiar feat from Unearthed Arcana. I'd take out the spells and the divine bond class features in exchange. OR the Complete Warrior variant Paladin. OR Genius Guide to Martial Archetypes. Those are just with a little looking. Hope those help
