How would one go about creating, and using prosthetic limbs, of a magical nature in Pathfinder?

Construct Limb?

Edit: I'm not 100% on whether that would fit what you're looking for, but at least it should give some basis to start from, right?

Grand Lodge

That's a good start. I had hoped for just something to replace a limb, like an animated object you could control.

Is there a way to do this without craft construct?

Wouldn't it all just depend on crafting a construct that happens to have the functions of the missing limb and giving it the Construct Limb property?

Grand Lodge

Working with the construct angle then. I am supposing the base would be a Tiny animated object. I am not looking for a shield bonus, or penalties, so while the "construct limb" modification seems to be a fit, it is a bit much in many ways.

True enough, though I'd imagine minor loss of fine motor functions in the limb would result from any magical limb replacement, and the shield penalties are a good way to model that. And having a non-flesh limb would end up giving you a fair bit of armor on that body part, so the shield bonus would be a fairly good way to model that too.

LOD 2 added in demon's talon, so you could replace a hand with just craft wondrous item and a good bit of cash.

Agreed. Since it really doesn't fall under anything else, Craft Wondrous Item.

Can you use a animated object as a prosthetic? There are rules for normal prosthetics here, but are a bit lacking. I hope to find the appropriate penalties, and then lessen them with a magic item. I really not looking to do more than that.
