Spellslinger Multiclass Question

Advice

I had a question about one of the spellslinger's abilities: mage bullets. The text specifically says:

As a swift action, he can sacrifice a spell and transform that energy into a weapon bonus equal to the level of the spell sacrificed on a single barrel of his firearm.

My question is can I use multiclass spells for that sacrifice? If it was a level 1/1 spellslinger/sorcerer, for example, could I burn my sorcerer spell slots to buff the mage gun? There's nothing in the ability that says its restricted to Spellslinger spells specifically.

Correct. One of the few ways to make a Spellslinger feel worthwhile is to only take one level in it, thereafter taking sorceror levels.

There is a guide to it (shameless plug). See Broken Zenith's guide to the guides pages in this forum.

Actually asking for an npc I'm making that I was hoping to be a recurring villain for a PC's personal quest line. I like to toy around with gimmicks on random enemies to introduce challenges and also explore my understanding of the rules. I was aiming for an 8th level caster type that had something to do with guns and ended up with Spellslinger1/Myrmidarch6/CrossbloodedSorcerer1 specializing in shocking grasp. Fun experiment but it just puts out way too much damage for my group to cope with. Like one shotting all of em and doing it multiple times a day.

Thanks for the tip, I checked out the guide and it was helpful. Just getting back into gaming after a long hiatus and I still have a lot to absorb.

Yes, it's easy to overdo gunslingers generally.
One thing to bear in mind is that, since I wrote the guide, double barrelled guns have been erratta'd or FAQed so they require a standard action to shoot both barrels with the same attack, and otherwise merely facilitate firing a second time without needing to reload.
