Craft: Alchemy

Rules Questions

So my alchemist and company just found themselves a place to call their own and set up a base of operations. One of the first things I want to set about doing is brewing some Alchemist Fire.

1) Am I able to still adventure during the day and then set some time aside during the evening or morning to work on this?

2) Based on my understanding of the way the DC checks work, a successful check would result in 400 sp worth of crafting success. Does this result in a double-batch?

Yes, so long as you can set aside four hours per day to work on your alchemy, you can work "in the field". The rules for crafting cover how this works. Basically you take some penalties in time and craft checks (unless you can carry a full alchemist lab with you....)

Thanks. I'd thought there was something about how many hours a day were required but I couldn't find it online.

Where is the four hours per day? I don't see that under the craft skill.
