Nice costume, looks like the real one from the show as far as I remember it. Do.you have the weapon that goes in the holster?

I do not yet have a blade blaster or a power bow, but I do plan on seeing about commissioning them eventually.

I won third place in the department level costume contest (for $25) and took first in the company-wide contest (lololol) (for $125) so I am very pleased

Awesome!

Cool!

My 'Halloween costume' for work this year was 'Dr. Jack Griffin'. I was on vacation at a charity convention and not at work :>

Sadly, it is in some states. It shouldn't be. I hope that you can appeal it. Hopefully you can get it approved with a Prior Authorization.

It only comes out to about $4 a month, so I can afford it, it's just like yeah, sure, that may as well happen.

The dumb thing is the sticking point seems to be that my dose isn't high enough. They only cover it at a level that is five times what I've been prescribed.

I've also been waiting over a month for a response on a completely unrelated prior authorization request so I wouldn't expect any miracles on that front. Privatized healthcare rules!!

Edit: I'm sorry, I think I came off as way more bitter than I actually feel. I appreciate the kind words, honestly.

Damn.

I'm sorry. I mean I'm glad you have the meds, sorry about the dosage.

Quietly amazed at the folks that are posting in threads and not tearing the Internet apart with their fingers...

Thank everyone for being here.

Nah, you don't want to use flaming swords, because when that stuff gets lit on fire it STINKS.

Better to use a Frost Brand, that way the smell is locked away in the freezer.

Hoo boy, I've been missing things too--and a quick look at Rysky's "posts" tab and I'm grimacing at what you've been responding to.

I do wonder how much the recent bullshenanigans have attracted b#$%@+#~s who are coming here just to be b#%!#~%~s...

I was curious and also looked at recent posts from Rysky. Started reading one of thread, got reminded why I stopped reading anything else then pbp and this place. I then proceeded to back away from all that.

I really don't understand how hard is it to treat everyone like a whole and complete person of equal value. People of the LBGTQ+ community just like the POC should enjoy all the same rights and freedom without any judgements like I do.

This is just like the big uproar because the new superman came out has Bi. Why is that a problem?

I am going to stop now cause I'm getting angry, but I will wish you all a good day and lots of hugs if you want them!

Hmm, and yeeeaaah I wouldn’t recommend reading that unless you have something strong nearby.

The post in particular was deleted, though I've noticed that the poster in question does not appear to be suspended (though their last post was before working hours on the west coast, so maybe that's been corrected). And if that person isn't facing consequences, I don't expect much for the people who supported it.

Honestly with the number of volatiley transphobic posters that haven't been pruned, I'm not optimistic that this one will be either.

I was originally wanting to post all the art I got commissioned there after Tumblr died buuuuut then a lot of people from Paizo forums started following me so I'm like, hmmm, better make a nother account to post the naughty... but then I ran out of energy trying to run both XD

I have, like, six different Twitter accounts for various levels of professionalism and SFWism, and I use none of them regularly. Which is itself kind of unprofessional. Luckily, the Paizonians are following my second-most boring one.

How DO y'all keep track of them? I don't even have *one* and I'm tired just thinking about that. :>

It's actually pretty easy, but that's because I constantly worry about who will or won't see a given tweet, so it's easy to remember, "wait, my best friend follows this one, don't retweet that".

Liberty's Edge

Tweetdeck or Hootsuite are good tools to manage multiple Twitter accounts. If you see something come up on the feed for one account you can choose to retweet it from a different one. They're also handy for monitoring a hashtag or the mentions of a third party.

PMing you some stuff that may make your day a bit better.

This is the only thread I follow anymore on Paizo so I'm missing all the drama now. I have a feeling that if I were to go looking, some people I used to like I may not like very much anymore.

Without going too deep into those situations, it's probably better for mental health to avoid some of those things.

Not saying 'ignore' but 'be ready for a fecal hurricane' if you decide to brave the storm.

I'm still figuring myself out, and my initial gut reaction was to punch my monitor.

Thankfully, common sense prevailed.

My kingdom for a block function... some of these people are shameless with their transphobia.

Silver Crusade

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Why wouldn't they be? They're not facing any repercussions.

4 people marked this as a favorite.

Yeah, a block function isn't really the solution, it is for the moderation team to do their job and ban these people.

Liberty's Edge

Apparently you can't even mention that it happened, since that's "posting cross-thread drama." Cool!

I am so mad I could bite! And I shall! Nobody better hold me back!

The Bad Threads Talk (cw for very crabby venting):
I am so f~~+ing peeved I don't trust myself not to go off on [redacted] or [redacteder] if they post, I swear to Kurtulmak, one more stupid childish f#!~ing take about how the really important takeaway here is that they're right and haven't done anything wrong and trans people need to stop yelling at them.

The "let's just shut the forums down since you're all being so pissy" take is what did it for me. What a stupid, petty, presumptuous "lol maybe Trump is good because he'll burn it all down so we can start over"-tier take. These people are so pathetic and I am trying to be nice and they are just, gosh f~~#ing d*mn it I'm so cross right now!

I am having a good day... Must resist urge to go see the thread again.... Don't want to get ban from the forum for trying to kill trolls with a post...

The truest pain is that I don't have the pseudo-block extension on my work computer. So many posts I just can ignore at home, in my face.

God, posting.

If the Crypt of the Everflame run that was started by Dragoncat with folks from this thread and I've taken over to bring it to the finish line is any indication, sheep are terrifying...

One of the characters decided to bring some sheep along to the first adventure.

We got jumped at night.

Suddenly... Baaaaaahhhhh

The evening attackers did not survive the ovine onslaught.

There was an old post on the wizard of the coast forum when 3rd edition started. It feature a 1st level commoner fighting a cat. A simple, no template added cat. And the cat scratched the life out of the poor commoner.

Just goes to show that at level one, you should be afraid of EVERYTHING

I literally edited out a gigantic post where I laid out, in detail, how some random petty jerk was completely wrong and needed to grow up, because I realized it was completely and utterly pointless and he was going to ignore it anyways.

I did save it, though. Just in case.

My doctor told me today that I may have bipolar and fittingly today has been one long overwhelming stretch of manic attention to several impressively toxic conversations.
