Eh, "guys" as a collective has been somewhat neutered over time. I can't see many people getting upset over it. Of course, there can be regional differences as well on things like that.

I have a trans friend who gets pissed off at me when I say it, even though I use it gender neutrally. Same with bro and dude, which I have a real bad habit of using for all of my friends. I'm trying to watch it, but if I'm being completely honest I usually just go with those terms unless I know I'm talking to someone who will be offended by them.

Just the way it goes I guess.

Bob, love the pics. That dress is super flattering on you. Really glad you had a good time.:)

It really is very flattering and I'm happy that you had a great time! Also super-loving the nails (my birthday manicure is thrashed from moving—sigh)!
I've never gotten a manicure. I don't want to work with one. Those were press on nails. I think I'm going to buy a bunch of them.

Mine was just a scrub, buff, polish, and paint—nothing terribly fancy. But I did feel tremendously girly. :D

Thanks guys, - I inherited from my parents if you are old enough to ask a question you are old enough to get an answer.

Because of my job, I wouldn't want to go to work with my nails painted anyway. Even though I can't be fired for it, and I have a feeling that nearly all of my coworkers would be fine with it, I work in a pharmacy with a lot of patients who may not want to tolerate that. Or worse, spend all my time trying to give me pointers. I have too much work to do to be explaining everything to people I've been taking care of for over 10 years. Every person I have to explain it to is 3-4 prescriptions I can get filled.

I will be buying more of the press on nails though. I didn't realize how easy they were and I really did feel pretty. I'm getting a pedicure on Tuesday. I love getting those. Guys, if you've never got one, you should. You don't have to get your toes painted. It really does feel good. I'm now just debating on what color. I have a few days to figure it out. I'm thinking of a dark color because I have some glow in the dark polish I want to put on as well and it looks better on dark colors than light ones.

Cori is exhausted today. Had a hair appointment at 10 for cut and color and style, an eyebrow appointment at 1, an interview dropped into my lap at 2, appointment to get my makeup done at 3, and a photo shoot at 5. It was a fun day and both the interview and the photo shoot went really well. Tomorrow I'll upload a picture of my finished product before the shoot started.

I would also love to see a link to the interview when it posts!

Me too. I was wondering if there was something better.

Strange. I use 'guys' as a gender neutral term.

I wonder if I count as an LGBT person merely by being occasionally very confused about my gender.

That, and it can't be a coincidence that I've been mistaken for a woman some 8 times on the internet by now.

WOW Cori Marie, your story is amazing! I hope everything goes well for you from now on, but after reading all your posts and interviews im 100% sure it will! Congrats hope your dream will come true and the world will finally open its wide-shut eyes to all people!

Alright to bring things back happier, here is the picture I promised: All Dolled Up

And here is the interview:
With too many places to be!

And Icyshadow, yes, being gender confused gives you a space within the LGBT spectrum. In fact, while that may not be the case with you, it is where many of us trans* people start. Don't be afraid to be who you need to be and don't let what others say or do to you have an affect on that.

She has her reasons for the cross-dressing. Then again, she hasn't been interested in using magic to swap her gender so there's that.

I still wonder how that would work in a high magic world. Would there be prejudice against someone who had access to magic to change their gender but did not? Hm

I get the vibe that she is not trans*, and posing as the member of another gender is more of a business-related decision.

Liberty's Edge

Thank goodness you don't have the scary devil eyes your avatar has. ;)

Looking good though Cori! Hah, you're a mini-celeb.

Never thought I'd see an aasimar referred to as having devil eyes. :P

Hey, some aasimar are born of fallen celestials, while some tieflings are born of ascended fiends, or even vice versa for both.

Calling them devil eyes might not even be that far off, even if that aasimar is supposedly one of agathion blood.

Liberty's Edge

I know they're supposed to be, like, feline eyes or something, I guess. But they scare meeee!

I thing it's contrast of dark eyes on light everything else. Plus the smile.

I clicked on the above link...saw a brief flash of a woman, and then a car. Cori, are you transitioning into a car? Cuz...that would be amazing! GO CYBORG!

Unfortunately (or perhaps thankfully), Freehold, Cori isn't Utena IRL. :P

It was alright - a bit obscure but artsy about it - right up until the end. And then... yeahhhh... My face when cars.

Music is awesome as hell though.

Apparently the TV series is great, I haven't gotten around to watching it yet though. (My girlfriend chides me for this quite a bit.)

And just found out I was on the front page of the local paper, above the fold no less.

Can I say that it's awesome that the reporters kept referring to you as a woman? Not all reporters are that professional. Congrats on everything!
