at first my favorite class was Alchemist. and he was an elf. now i have a profound love for bard and he is a human. but the break through race for me is Aasimar. not because they get energy resistance and +2 to 2 stats with no draw back. i just love the celestial angle. i love the day light spell like ability, even if its once a day. i have played 2 or 3 Aasimars now and they have all been a good align, i may try an evil one in the future. and i am excited about the Aasimar book that Paizo will be making available for us in the near future

ratfolk witch, small rat witch with a tiny rat familiar riding a improved HD awakened dire rat... (my most recent and horrible character idea, might never get to play it).
goblin cavalier, a great and potentially hilarious character with loads of goblindoglanceskirmisher action.
kobold draconic bloodline sorcerer, my friends next character in kingmaker since they have an alliance with the kobolds and he has always wanted to play one (even funnier when he turns up with the highest cha and the players make him king via metagaming).
halfling two weapon warrior (cleavers), the mad halfling chef.
that completes my love of small characters, honourable mention to gnome alchemist (find a way to become large or larger).

i am playing a Aasimar cleric of Cayden Cailen in Jade Regent. he fancy's himself a ladies man.am thinking about splicing bard into it, a) he is a support character, B) would add alot to his personality. "hello ladies, would ye fancy a song??" <summons instrument>
in same game my friend is playing a "paladin" of Cayden, hes actually a cavilear. he constantly has to defend his "paladinhood" against all the nay sayers of the game.

I live the Assimar either Cleric or Paladin. I am drawn to the Divine Classes (I love the holy warrior concept, the divine hero) and I love Assimar. I think Tieflings are both boring and way, way overdone, but there is so much potentual with the celestial spark. Saddly, I really wish there was a PathFinder Favored Soul, or Cleric version of the Dragon Disciple to really play this up.
I love the Crusader and Mendev Priest archtypes. I'm hoping for one that allows for a Divine Trickster (add some Rogue abilities), a Sacred Fist (blending of the Cleric/Paladin/Monk), and one that sort of does for the Cleric what Urban Druid did for the Druid, will in opposite focus.

DM does not want us redoin characters. so all i can do is add on. its mainly beacuse how the characters fit into the game.
i also have an idea for a Vanara gunslinger with a 5 cha......hes really annoying with a irish accient and a drinking problem, and loves loves loves pranking people. he would probably never work in a real game

I know they're not a PC race, but Serpentfolk, Serpentfolk, Serpentfolk. They are my favourite thing about Golarion, they're like mind flayers only without the squid faces. My GM is letting me play a serpentfolk wizard in an upcoming game, and I'm really looking forward to it.
After those cool snake men, my favourite would be dwarves. Something about them just speaks to me on a personal level, and I think they're woefully under-appreciated.
As for classes, it's probably cliche, but wizards. I just like the idea of a supremely intelligent scholar. I am also fond of sorcerers, especially their spontaneous casting. That and arcane casters get the coolest homes. Towers that defy logic and pocket dimensions, you gotta admit that's cool.

Im playin a human whip-fighter/tank. Im not much of a damage dealer, mainly cuz we already have a melee monster in the form of Wildfire the pony and his halfling cavilier rider, or is it the other way around...? Anyway with my truestrike ring i can trip just about anything and then Wildfire tramples the $&@/ out of it.
Awsome.

i have never been the biggest dwarf fan till recently. cannot place why i didnt like them at first. but i LOVE the fact that a heavy load cannot ever slow them down. 20 ft minimum?? thats not a bad thing. plus they get just all around amazing racial qualities. i have also started liking halflings. i guess there really isnt a race i like. i am yet to play a real "physical" character, oddly back in the D&D days its all i would play. but every game i play now i have been some form of "magic" user. alchemist, bard, cleric, sorcerer. i know some of those can be physical characters, but i never went that path with them

Goblin Gunslinger: double that hackbutt
Ninja/Monk Human (gestalt): the perfect butler (I unoptimize him through roleplaying)
kobold alchemist sometimes vivisectionist: zoidberg and all other mad doctors, scientists and pyromaniacs combined.
witch: you say "I evil eye monster X then cackle" and your turn goes a lot faster. You've got all your spells to cast curse on anoying city folk.
halfling scrollmaster: the next time you see a kid playing with cardboard sword and shield, you'll run like hell
elf wizard: sometimes you just want to be the very very best (personal opinion of course). Conjuration (Teleportation) or Divination.

I don't like dwarves because of basically anything scottish attributed to them, and I just don't care for the hieght and beard things. I have, however, reskinned them to be a human decendant with some giant blood, and basically a "northman" race of humans in all but name. I love them. Their stats are good and very useful, and by making them basically vikings, nothing at all really is out of place except the darkvision, (giant blood).

Personally I DESPISE the whole 'drunken, axe-wielding, belligerent, scottish moron who butchers the english language to the point where you only understand one word per sentence' stereotype dwarves seem to have acquired. I prefer them closer to the original Norse myth.
that could possibly be where my hatred came from.
my friend took the dwarf concept from Dragonage 2. the beardless dwarf whos a smooth person

i have been playing PF for close to 2 years, and am wondering what are some of your favorite class/races combinations. please feel free to elaborate
Really hard to narrow it down... if I had to pick a favorite race, it'd probably be human as humans have dominated my choices for years. I'm very fond of halflings as well in the proper roles.
My favoite characters over the years have been (in order of preference):
1) Human Paladin
2) Halfling Master Summoner
3) Human Fighter (Weaponmaster - Greatsword, Whirlwind Attack at 4th level))
4) Human Fighter 1/Wizard 5/Arcane Archer 4/Eldritch Knight 10
5) Half-Elven Summoner
6) Human Paladin 2/Cross-blooded Sorcerer 10/Dragon Diciple 8
All of these characters were well-made, though I would only consider 1 or 2 optimized.

Some of my favorite:
Forewarning: I love to multiclass, and while I understand this removes some power, I believe this can create an interesting character with a variety of skills and talents to pull from that can be useful.
The Dwarven Rogue/Alchemist/Fighter/Shadowdancer (the "beardless dwarf" concept Talon referred to earlier...) I used a modified repeating crossbow, when UC came out, I screamed in delight over Explosive Missle :)
I also made a Human Paladin (hospitaler)/Lore Oracle/Holy Vindicator. At 17th level (made him for a run of witchwar legacy) I had an AC of 53 (63 if smiting) Also, I had a ton of healing and some other fun goodies. I dipped 1 level into Oracle to get the "Sidestep" revelation, which lets me use my Charisma mod instead of Dexterity mod for AC and Reflex saves. Also to the Noble Scion feat, for Scion of War. I net a 30 Charisma by lvl 17, and a reflex and fortitude of 30.
The one I'm heavily working on now is a Bladebound/Kensai Magus. It's for PFS, and at first opportunity I'm getting the "Agile" weapon quality on my Aldori Dueling Blade, and I can focus whatever money I get on enhancing my attributes through items. (hopefully...)

Paizo did not create the d20 system. Pathfinder is a revised edition of a game that already existed. Paizo is not the creating company. They are 3rd party.
There's nothing wrong with that. I'm a Paizo fan all the way. But there's a lot of great 3rd party material out there. Not allowing 3rd party material into your thread seems a bit too exclusive and not in spirit with Paizo's stance on the OGL, which allows Pathfinder to exist.

Goblin/Anything
Golarion goblins are basically me, just smaller and uglier. They have potential for hilarity with every class.
I once played a goblin samurai which was pretty awesome.
i was going to run Jade Regent at one point, and the book describes how u make the licktoad goblins fight the hero's. it tells u to have them leap from buildings and try to run between players legs (even though most of the time all of this shall fail) to emulate how their minds work. i loved that description. but my buddy ended up running it (and i gots to play it!!!) but i still love that part

So no core rulebook stuff then?
Going on the assumption that while the Core Rulebook was largely just a re-organization of the previous WoTC content (with a few changes) and the APG was the first of the Paizo-only major sourcebooks, I'd say Summoner and Oracle. The summoner has some real potential, but it isn't the tightest written class out there. I also like the Oracle (the name isn't the best) and what they bring thematically to the game.

they edited classes in some if not all classes in core to flavor them for their own game. so if u wanna just throw arguments at me pleas go to another feed. its quite annoying and childish

Well tossing aside time I'm a fan of the Kitsune fighter/mage/rogue while getting to level 20 in all those classes will not happen in 90% of games its a dream I hold dear. Best I can probably get is a wizard/rogue gestalt since will magus/rogue gives better fighting ability it costs too much in the spell, no pocket plane and a restricted spell list

i have a lv 17 blade bound/ kensi magus. starting at lv 1 would be kinda hard, but starting at, lets say, 17 can be extremely powerful. not having to purchase weapons or armor leaves u open to wonderous items :)

It's not so much the combat potential but the versatility and high level mage options that appeal to me. Things like creating your own pocket paradise or becoming immortal for instance which is why I normally play a straight mage. However that's a topic for another thread.

I'm a big fan of the Alchemist because of the versatility. Despite that, I still don't much like the Bard.
Humans bore me, but I like the Half-Elf with the asumption that Dual Minded will always be taken over Skill Focus.
I'm fond of the Tengu and Nagaji, but I haven't really done anything with them yet.
I hate Gnome, Wayang, Samsaran, Kitsune, and most of the Bestiary-based races (especially Drow and Dhampir).
