Thanks to Gary and the IT folks for getting rid of the unwieldy calendar and changing the EVENTS PAGE to a much friendlier format.
Slowly but surely, the website will be updated to be more user friendly in quite a few ways Gary and I have talked about, and in ways that are his own devising.

Nice, I can see for Texas in march there are 2 Public locations in Dallas, 2 in Houston and 2 in San Antonio...
Come On Dave where is Austin?... ;)

If you scroll down, you will also see April.
I noticed that as well, was just making fun of Dave for not putting the Austin Game in for this Month...

If you use the search feature at the top, put in your zip code and extend it out to 200 miles or so, that should have you covered in most places.
That will get me 1/2 my state... ;) and an event in Connecticut for some odd reason...
Edit: Misses Dallas... DOH!

I'll email Gary about this too, however there is an event later TODAY and it doesn't show. Would be good for events to disappear the day after they occur rather than the day of.
I also can't use Google Maps to identify my location anymore. My zip code has never been identified by the Paizo system and gives me an error, bumping me to the paizo.com opening page.

We're going to be adding better ways to find and filter events. I wasn't actually planning on rolling out the redesign of this page just yet because I have some more things planned for it but the calendar ticked me off one too many times so I pushed it through.
Please email webmaster@paizo.com if we're missing any zip codes from our database. We're going to be revisiting our Google Maps integration but for now, US events are best found via zip codes, and there are few enough events in other countries that I think the new listing display should work OK.
Not showing events starting today is a bug which we'll fix. The reason events starting today are missing is probably a time zone issue. (It may also be a regular fencepost/off-by-one type bug.)
Normally for all dates on our website this is the right thing to do -- RPG Superstar events, for example, occur at 2 p.m. Pacific time. And the date a post was created is an absolute time. We adjust those times when we display them for your local time zone, which you can set on your messageboard settings page.
Dates for events, however, should always be displayed in the time zone of the event. If an event starts at 3 p.m. EST, we shouldn't adjust it to show noon Pacific time. (And we don't.)
Where this messes us up is that an event starting on March 6 is actually given a timestamp of 00:00:00 March 6 in a specific time zone, and the new events page filters events based on a timestamp of 00:00:00 in a specific time zone. I don't have the code in front of me but I'll bet there's a mismatch there that is causing an event to fall outside the date range we're looking for.
We're going to be adding a time zone setting to the event creation process so we can be better about this.
(It remains to be seen if daylight saving time adjustments are going to cause problems with this. I really hope not because that's when date-related code gets really fun.)

So, if I can find ways to covertly get Gary ticked off at other things, those parts of the website might change sooner rather than later also........hmmm......*wheels turning*

I have to say - I like the general new layout. The old pages have been a pain to use sometimes.
Having said this - I can't figure out how to search for my own entry (this is in the UK - event 644 - Sunrise Lodge UK). This is a recurring meeting. It never showed up in the calendar. But just two weeks ago after 1 1/2 years when I already felt it is useless I finally got a first inquiry.
As it turned out - he didn't realize where in the UK I am. But this helped to connect him with the VC and hopefully he has a gaming group now.
So is there an option to search without US Zip code - or at least is it planned to add it back in again.
The other issue is - I really need to drum up support that people here in the UK are adding their games. I know there are quite a few going on.
Edit: Great Britain is now on the map (actually the calendar). I have added the next four game days. Today isn't showing up and I will likely have to change the scenarios played / do continous updates. But was good to update the 2 year old text.

If no one else thanks you for it, I thank you for also putting in the display of the "Nearbty Venture Captain" information.
Of course, since I am currently the only one putting in public events in my area, it is only showing the one public event I currently have scheduled. Makes me a bit sad, no one else in Las Vegas doing public PFS.
Edit: And I just noticed that, since I am logged in, and it is my event, that it is now giving me Edit | Report | Sessions links for my event. Nice!
