Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

It depends on what I am looking for. But with that said here is my list of a few of them and why.

Kingmaker - if you are looking for something new/different and sandboxy this is bar none the best AP.

Rise of the Runelords - if you are looking for a more classic DnD feel I think this AP fits that feel the best.

Curse of the Crimson Throne - Best over all story arc of the AP's to date on how well it was done.

but my personal favorite is...

Carrion Crown - I love gothic horror stuff so this one appeals a great deal to me.

My vote is for Curse of the Crimson Throne.

This campaign has worked GREAT for my group. We've had awesome moments in all of the modules.

Spoiler:
Yes, even when leaving the city the party took great to exploration and doing the whole shoan-ti scavenger hunt. Taming a giant worm dune-style and getting named honorary barbarians (and marrying one by mistake)

We've just finished scarwall and it went pretty well. The castle had them scared all the time at the beggining, until they cleared a few Anchors. It was great having them jump at noises and do ominous die-rolling, they would never know if it was a shambling lonely zombie or an unspeakable horror. A high point when they started literally hammering (earthbreaker barbarian) the barred door to the Donjon until the sound woke up the dragon.

The haunted house on RotR and the theatre play in CoT were also amazing.

Kingmaker is now equal first with Skull & Shackles.

Turns out I love Sandboxes where I can throw my own material in!

Seconded. I'm going to reserve judgement on S&S for the moment until I've read the last three parts, but let's just say it's a very close second place behind Kingmaker right now.

Sadly, I must be one of the minority who won't be looking forward to the next two APs so will probably cancel my subscription at the conclusion of S&S. Of course, if a Numeria AP is in the works, I'll reconsider signing back on... :)

I have not read or run or played them all but...

Of the ones I have:

1. Curse of the Crimson Throne (DM)

2. Serpent Skull (DM)

3. Carrion Crown (DM)

4. Rise of the Runelords (DM)

5. Legacy of Fire (Player)

Because I never know what I might play I do not read APs that I am not running. So, I have no comments on the others. I did DM part of Second Darkness and I liked what we did but the group fell apart from player issues rather than a dislike for the AP. I think that I would run it again but this one takes a group that is together. I also had a TPK that disrupted things.

Have they announced the AP after Shatterstar or are you just making inferences based on all the upcoming releases?

Just best guesses based on upcoming releases and hints dropped here and there. I'd be supremely surprised at this point if the AP following Shattered Star isn't based in Irrisen. We should all know within a week either way.

Silver Crusade

For my group, Age of Worms is the standard. Until recently, of all the things that they had played, those 12 adventures were the most fun.

All that changed when I ran Carrion Crown.

Now I ran Rise of the Runelords when it first came out and they enjoyed it. Not with the same gusto as AoW, but they liked it well enough to allow me the opportunity run it again using the full Pathfinder ruleset. And they're really looking forward to Skull and Shackles. But that's only due to how much they enjoyed their Carrion Crown experience.

My personal favorite AP of the ones that I have run? I gotta go with Rise of the Runelords. Karzoug remains my favorite villain (I really got to cut loose with him and look forward to doing so again with the anniversary edition version of him). Carrion Crown comes next (the various aspects of horror, along with a very compelling villain, made this fun for me), with Age of Worms coming in third (I loved the adventure, but the twelve-issue format really took its toll on me as a DM).

Liberty's Edge

I'll only comment on the ones I've run. The ones I have not ran I could tell just by reading them (and I've read them all) they would not do it for me or my players. So...

Shackled City Adventure Path.........B+
.
.
Rise of the Runelords................A-
Curse of the Crimson Throne..........B+
Council of Thieves...................C-
Kingmaker............................A+
Carrion Crown........................C-
Skull & Shackles.....................A+

Kingmaker and Skull & Shackles are awesome sandboxes with tons of material per book that expands their usefulness and playability. They are my favorite.

Shackled City and Rise of the Runelords were true classics with strong themes, great monsters and super stories.

Curse of the Crimson Throne suffered slightly in the second half but otherwise is the best urban adventuring we ever had.

Council of Theives and Carion Crown ran too fast. Too much of each book was one giant adventure site, and the motivations lackluster. Also, haivng constant time limits annoys my players to no end.

Without a doubt. Savage Tide hasn't been topped yet in terms of cohesive yet varied adventures, recurring villains and comrades, exotic locations and epic quests. Plus, the support material in Dragon's "Savage Tidings" articles are unmatched.

Legacy of Fire with Curse of the Crimson Throne a very close second.
