I believe it was once said that "Power is power."
It was killing me, because I was almost sure I had posted that same thing in this very thread some time ago, but couldn't find it. Then I realized we had taken the whole "knowledge is power" debate over to our public access forums.
Note the post date :)

The way I see it TEO is just as its name implies, an order. People are all neatly placed. Don't get me wrong their is nothing wrong with that. TSV on the other hand is more like a consortium, endlessly shifting due to those with in doing their own preferred thing. We are more spread out but just as connected if not in the triditional sense of rank and file.
Just what I think. ;)

New here, but I really like the concept of "The Seventh Veil". I didn't read all 9 pages but the best I could tell recruitment isn't open yet -- I do look forward to applying once it is. Good job guys!
Well, let's clear that up!
The Seventh Veil is definitely openly recruiting. Thanks for letting us know that's not clear.
Please feel free to apply here: Member Applications

For the neutral minded Golarion, Seventh Veil could very well be the best choice. At the very least its Stewards put forth great arguments for that very point. I think you will be very comfortable with the caliber of gamer these people represent.

I would like to invite The Seventh Viel to join with us in creating and signing The Treaty of Rovagug.

Thanks, Nihimon. It was either late, or I misread something, or the alcohol... At any rate, I'll be checking out the website!

Welcome, Turix! I hope shame isn't a driving force behind a majority of our applications, but I'm happy for it in this case :)
@Dak, thank you very much for the words of encouragement. You're an admirable fellow... for a Dwarf. *winks*
We still have an ambassadorial spot for you or your representatives (or both) on our forums. We have recently created a new board, with individual permissions to begin discussing "favorable relations".
No one is talking about hard alliances, but we are framing what we consider fair, logical, and mutually beneficial moving forward.
We would love your opinion on those subjects. If you want to stop by, just contact me once you sign up via PM and I will adjust your permissions to ambassador

I consider applying, but I am really not set on what kind of character I will be playing (it really depends on the available options at that time, The Seventh Veil seems like a nice place to stay (other chartered companies seem to demanding for me). In any case I really want to support the TSV in the Kickstarter Land Rush. So do you think I should apply now, or wait a bit?

Chiassa |

Hey there, Sebastian! Please feel free to poke around the forum, take a look at the application, and ask questions (here or there), which may help clarify things for you.
I suspect you're not the only one still mulling what you'll be playing; a lot of Chiassa's personality only came into focus during my application process (these guys ask great questions).
For me, finding a good fit with my personality, goals, interests and outlooks was paramount.

@Sebastian Hirsch, you're welcome to apply whenever you feel comfortable doing so. You don't need to have a fully formed character backstory. Nor are we terribly concerned about our ranking in the Land Rush Leaderboard - what will be will be. Personally, I'm quite happy that this group which had its birth on these forums has managed to survive and thrive to the degree it has. I would imagine the rest of the Stewards feel the same way.

I'd like to welcome the new members we've added recently. We're definitely in the "slow & steady" growth spectrum :)
If those members are willing, I'd appreciate it if they would make an announcement in this thread, perhaps briefly describing why the chose to join us. I've avoided bumping it unnecessarily, but I also don't want it to seem like it's dead.

I'm one of those recent new members.
I chose to join The Seventh Veil for a few reasons - one, I like their goals: I'm a big fan of exploration and learning new things. Two, I like their approach: Relatively neutral, supporting a wide range of activities, and acknowledging the requirement of a game like this for having military capacity, without being overly confrontational about it. Three, I find that those members who post on the forums here tend to be exceptionally well spoken, helpful, and rational. (Obviously, my own posting notwithstanding.)

@Nihimon, your guild is focussed at being in as many kingdoms and settles as possible. Are you planning to have your own settlement? Also how you planning to put up libraries outside your primary settlement? This seems to be similar to the druid situation of not being restricted to a piece of land but encompass all the settlements and kingdoms, while the druid encompasses all the wilderness.
Love to hear your ideas on this issue.

I joined because I love playing "find all the lost/hidden/forgotten knowledge characters. Meta-gamey it's "I want to enjoy everything the devs have put in their game" for theme park games, which translates to "everything everyone's put into our game" for sandboxes. It felt as if I could best pursue all of that with these folk as friends.

@DarkOne:
It's really too early to make specific plans about settlements, chartered companies, or other game elements with unknown requirements. If at all possible, we intend to have a settlement and/or nation of our own.
Our primary plan for developing libraries in other settlements is to be numerous and vocal during the crowdforging process in order that those features be implemented.

Hi Caeruxi,
I registered on your forums with the intention of applying to The Seventh Veil but the process seems to have gone astray. I haven't received the activation email - and I even checked the spam trap.
Can one of you kind people help? The user name I tried to register is 'WillCooper' - no space.
Cheers!

You mean it's too early to start pushing my agenda? The game is only 1.5 years out man!
