As the title says, looking to play a charmer/compulsion with also summoning goodness as well, basically I'm tired of my current groups inability to function at any task other then killing, so I am taking it on my shoulders to do all out of combat encounters and then prevent them from going on a killing rampage (please see my post in the Carrion Crown AP section for further description). I was thinking Rakshasa, maybe serpentine although I don't like the spells as much or the abilities, going to make a human for the racial and will do the eldritch heritage feat line along with augment summoning as well, thoughts and suggestions please!

Not quite answering your question, but if your bloodline doesn't give it to you, take a trait that makes diplomacy a class skill, and max it out! Diplomacy will go a long long way in terms of out of combat encounters. Bluff and intimidate are good as well, but they are one-shots at getting what you want, if you fail, you just pissed someone off, and even if you succeed, you certainly haven't made a friend. Diplomacy can garner both risk-free (a failed intimidate or bluff in the wrong situation can be bad business) and long term support from NPCs.
Consider Int 12, and maybe human. Sorcerers have a lot of good skills.
If you haven't read it, this guide might have some useful info for you: The (almost) Complete Guide to Sorcerers

Check traits and see if any of them make diplomacy a class skill.
For charm and compulsion effects don't forget the basic fey bloodline from the Core Rules book.
The Infernal bloodline gives +2 DC to spells of the charm subschool, Diplomacy as a class skill, and several good enchantment spells as bloodline spells (Charm Monster, Suggestion, Dominate Person). Unfortunately the bloodline feats aren't very good (Extend Spell and Spell Penetration are the only good ones IMO) and the bloodline powers are meh.

I was thinking Rakshasa
It's a nice domain... works well with trickster types.
For summoners I like to be able to be hidden.. I'd suggest going with arcane heritage: shadow, maybe also hellcat stealth while you're there.
I'd pick up 3 levels of diabolist- that will give you augment summoning as well as a very cool 'familiar'. It will give you diplomacy as a class skill.
Pick up stealth via a trait.
What levels are you planning on seeing with this character?
If you're going to play at 15th and higher for an appreciable time, consider spell perfection.

We are playing the Carrion Crown AP, I think 15ish level, yeah I am going to take all the face skills too, may take tomb raider trait too for perception as a class skill, yeah I am basically planning my defense to be dominating someone or charming them away from me, going away from totally optimized but still keeping my spell ad ability d/c high. Trying to focus on enchantment, illusion and conjuration spells, any suggestions for spells as well as blood lines? I have read that guide several times in the past(I make a lot of casters) I'm going to say its okay but horribly out of date as is ogre's guide as well.

Just an FYI, at least the first book in carrion crown (haunting of harrowstone) has a lot of undead enemies which will be immune to your charm effects (given the title this isn't much of a spoiler). The undead bloodline solves this problem but otherwise sucks. It might be worth doing a cross blooded undead/serpentine sorcerer to expand the range of creatures you are able to charm. Human alternate favored class bonus helps alleviate the spells known penalty.
Of course you could just use you conjuration spells on the undead rather than pour all your energy into being able to charm them.

Yeah I was thinking that on the summoning against undead, I can get the feat threndotic spell(I think thats what it is called) for undead I want to charm if that ever comes up, we are in the second book which so far has been freaks and mutants.
Rather than spend a feat on it, pick up command undead as a 2nd level spell known. It's worth it anyway.
You might consider magical lineage for charm person if you are going to specialize in it. I'd pick up persistent spell as for a 2nd level slot needing to pass 2 will saves is strong.

As far as spells go, this is what I am looking at so far as a level 4 arcane heritage:
0-Dancing lights, detect magic, ghost sound, mage hand, mending, prestidigitation
1-Charm person, grease, identify(arcane), ray of enfeeblement, Silent image
2-Glitterdust
I'm not sold on glitterdust quite yet it is a great spell and I do plan on taking it, anything I should take first? Any substitutions I should make? I am avoiding direct damage spells but I may still take a few.
