A few questions on fey critters

Rules Questions

I was reading about Pixies and Dryads. The description of Dryad mentioned a casting level of 6. The narrative mentioned something about druid levels. The spells listed appeared to be arcane (mage) spells.

Can fey critters have levels like characters (mage/druid/mystic thuerge)?

Do they have limitations, ie, no higher than 6?

General question
If gnomes are fey creatures and can take feats to make magic items, can other fey creatures do the same, like Nixies and Dryads? I think most of it would be low level, but they could make a some cursed dancing boots, very funny! Think of all the dancing lumberjacks in Falcon's Hollow!

The Dryad has several spell-like abilities, with a caster level of 6. Spell-like abilities are not related to actual levels in a spellcasting class, and don't necessarily follow any class spell-lists.

However, several monsters do have a regular spellcasting ability, functioning much as if the monster had the appropriate number of levels in the spellcasting class. For instance the Nymph. The Nymph has both spell-like abilities and actual spells, which are prepared as though the Nymph was a 7th-level Druid.

All intelligent monsters can have class levels, and there are no limitations to the number. The Bestiary contains rules for how to adjust a creature's CR when class levels are added.

If the monster has a spellcasting ability (like the Nymph), class levels in the appropriate class will combine with it. For instance, a Nymph with 1 Druid level will cast spells as an 8th-level Druid.

Mmm, OK . . . I missed something here, but OK.
