To start of with, this is a Society character and plays with all the restrictions.
I'm looking into what I should pick up for my just-hit level 8 summoner's eidolon.
It is a quadrupedal (Bite, Claw, Claw, Gore) with the acid elemental attack as it's most defining feature. Though gore is out for more claws as soon as I can add another set.
My eidolon already has a belt of giant's strength +2 and the cracked ion-stone that gives an attack bonus. My summoner is consuming the cloak and head slots himself, but otherwise has no slot-using equipment.
What should I be buying/saving for to equip my eidolon. I know amulet of mighty fists is considered a good idea, but what ability should I get with that? Or should I skip more gear for the eidolon and get something for my summoner?

People generally underestimate the usefulness of the vanilla enhancement bonuses to attacks and damage. It's even more useful considering how the higher bonuses can get around DR. Personally I'd just go with the plain old bonuses.
Also, while I liked elemental attack, I always looked at that evolution as one to pick up with the Lesser Evolution Surge spell. That way you can pick the most appropriate element for the situation. Since the spell is limited to evolutions the eidolon doesn't already have, you've kind of locked yourself into doing acid damage.

Congratulations on reaching level 8 with your summoner and eidolon!
Firstly, an Amulet of Mighty Fists is definitely a good idea for your eidolon, as it will enhance all of its natural attacks. Since your eidolon already has the acid elemental attack, you may want to consider getting an Amulet of Mighty Fists with the "Corrosive" special ability, which will allow your eidolon's attacks to deal additional acid damage on top of their regular damage.
In addition to the Amulet of Mighty Fists, you may want to consider getting your eidolon some magical barding, which is armor designed specifically for mounts or animal companions. The barding will provide additional protection to your eidolon and potentially increase its AC. You could consider getting a set of "Mithral Full Plate Barding" for your eidolon, as it offers the best AC bonus while not hindering your eidolon's mobility.
If you have additional funds after getting the Amulet of Mighty Fists and magical barding, you could consider purchasing other magic items for your eidolon, such as a Belt of Physical Might to increase its Strength and Constitution, or Boots of Speed to enhance its mobility and ability to engage in combat.
Two things, you are responding to a post from 2011, pretty sure the advice is no longer relevant. And second, you sound like a chat AI.

And second, you sound like a chat AI.
It is a bot. Three posts, three links to non-PF-related sites. No surprise that spambots use AI to make posts look as if the were real, although this here definitely wasn't written by a being with actual understanding of the class, as can be seen by the mention of barding (Eilodons can't wear armor or they go *poof*), and Boots of Speed (redundant because the Summoner can just cast it; also mobility is not what they're really for).
