I work in medicine. We dispose of used needles in a sharps box. I think that one of the most horrible things a poltergeist in an old prison infirmary could throw at me would be a sharps box with the lid yanked off of it.
AND,.....the remote fear of a needlestick is my eternal friend.

Indeed you could add some nasty disease saves in that encounter. For my larger group of 6 PCs I added 2 alchemical ooze swarms as well!

Yeah... Gave me the shivers. Made our revenge against the ghosts of Harrowstone more satisfying though!

When did we change to disposable needles? After the 1980s? What happened before then? Were thinks just sterilised in boiling water?
